Tia and Tamera Mowry Reunite for First Collaboration in Over a Decade with European Romance Film in Mind
Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry-Housley have ended their professional hiatus of more than ten years with a new collaboration.
“You [Tamera] have a forthcoming Hallmark [series],” Mowry, 47, remarked to her twin sister during an exclusive conversation with Us Weekly, referencing the upcoming program Baked With Love: Holiday. “I have a Netflix film [My Secret Santa] on the way, yet we haven’t partnered on one together. Oh my goodness, Tamera.”
“We absolutely should,” Mowry-Housley responded.
The distinguished alums of Sister, Sister deliberated over potential narrative concepts for the prospective movie before ultimately agreeing that a European setting would be ideal.
“It should be situated somewhere like France [or] Italy,” Mowry disclosed.
“Let’s choose Italy!” Mowry-Housley exclaimed, to which Mowry added, “And we both discover romance. Find love in Paris or within Europe.”

The actresses’ prospective holiday feature would follow their HomeGoods’ Deck the Everything Day campaign, marking their first joint endeavor in over a decade. Mowry conveyed to Us that reconvening with her twin sister after many years of individual projects was particularly moving.
“To be presented with the opportunity to join my sister on such an enjoyable, imaginative campaign that also resonates with our personal values, has been a truly wonderful experience,” Mowry shared.
“This represents our inaugural collaboration in more than ten years,” Mowry-Housley further noted.
“It feels incredibly special,” Mowry enthused, with Mowry-Housley concurring.
“Indeed it is. It has felt that way throughout,” the Haunted Harmony Mysteries star revealed.
While Mowry and Mowry-Housley are uniting for a shared holiday initiative, they each maintain distinct Christmas traditions. Adorning the tree, playing festive music, and incorporating Nutcracker-themed decor — customs inherited from their mother — are cherished rituals for both sisters. Individually, Mowry has cultivated a tradition of travel and “exposing the children to experiences beyond their familiar environments.”
She intends to celebrate the upcoming holidays in The Bahamas with her son Cree, 14, and Cairo, 7, whom she co-parents with ex-husband Cory Hardrict.
“I adore placing presents and gifts beneath the tree. That is how I was raised. However, in hindsight, do I recall what I received at ages 8, 12, 15, or 20? Perhaps not vividly,” Mowry elaborated. “What I distinctly remember are the moments and adventures surrounding the holidays. Therefore, what I prefer to do is…travel during the festive season. It serves as my gift to them [Cree and Cairo]. One year, we journeyed to Thailand. This year, we are heading to The Bahamas, which incidentally is where my sister’s and my own family roots originate.”
Mowry-Housley plans to observe the holidays in Napa, California, her residence with Adam Housley, her husband of 14 years, and their two children, Aden, 12, and Ariah, 10. The star of Twitches will host Christmas dinner (“We have a passion for cooking!”) and distribute Christmas cards, a holiday custom Mowry-Housley initiated following Aden’s birth.
Tia Mowry Reflects on a ‘Different’ Christmas During Coparenting
“I truly appreciate a beautifully crafted Christmas card,” Mowry-Housley expressed warmly. “Our family gathers, we capture photographs, and we compose our Christmas messages. We highlight the significant milestones that have occurred in our children’s lives. And other truly remarkable events happening in our lives. We have maintained this practice for approximately 13 years now, and the feedback has been wonderfully positive. It is our dedicated moment to connect.”
The twin sisters also exhibit their own unique Christmas aesthetics, which perfectly complements the essence of Deck the Everything Day. Mowry-Housley characterizes her approach as more “traditional” featuring “classic Christmas hues,” “plaids,” and “rustic textures.” Mowry, conversely, embraces a more “extravagant, winter whimsical” style, incorporating “sparkle,” “icy elegance,” and “frosted garlands.”
Established by HomeGoods in 2023 to celebrate early holiday decorators globally, Deck the Everything Day is observed on November 1st. This year, the celebration encourages shoppers to discover their inherent HomeGoods Holiday Carol – a lively seasonal persona that emerges during the festive period.
