Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas initially shared a professional connection, which later blossomed into a romantic involvement.
After several public sightings of the pair in spring 2025, an insider exclusively informed Us Weekly in May that a "discreet" romance was unfolding between Cruise and de Armas.
"[It's] still fresh and in its nascent stages," the source disclosed. "Their relationship is definitely being kept quiet."
The insider further explained that Cruise and de Armas became acquainted through their shared Hollywood circles over the years. De Armas even received an endorsement from Cruise's former partner, Penélope Cruz, whom he dated from 2001 to 2004.

"Penelope spoke highly of her, both personally and professionally," the source stated, noting that Cruz "praised" de Armas.
The source also clarified that de Armas had met with Cruise to discuss professional matters in February 2025 — the same month they were first observed together — before their "bond deepened."
Since their romance was confirmed, de Armas and Cruise have expressed admiration for each other's work, and they even journeyed to Woodstock, Vermont, where de Armas owns property.
In October 2025, Us confirmed that Cruise and de Armas parted ways after dating for nearly a year.

Cruise and de Armas were observed dining together in London the evening before Valentine's Day, according to photographs published by the Daily Mail. At that time, de Armas was rumored to be romantically involved with Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. She and Cuesta were pictured holding hands in Madrid a few days later.
March 2025
Cruise and de Armas were photographed arriving by helicopter at the London Heliport on March 15.
April 2025
One day prior to de Armas' 37th birthday, the actress was captured on video exiting a helicopter in London with her two canine companions, as published by TMZ. Cruise then emerged from the pilot's seat, suggesting he had operated the aircraft.
Cruise and de Armas were also spotted at a park and a Mexican eatery the following day.
May 2025
Cruise and de Armas were seen together at David Beckham's 50th birthday celebration on May 1.
Two weeks later, on May 14, a source informed Us that Cruise and de Armas had "been on some dates, and it's very understated. It's in the early stages, and he's been wooing her."
