Tony Germano Beloved Actor and Voice Artist Dies at 55 After Tragic Fall
Tony Germano, a celebrated actor and voice artist known for his contributions to platforms like Netflix and Nickelodeon, has tragically passed away at the age of 55 after a fatal fall in Brazil.
His representative confirmed to People on Friday, November 28, that Germano sustained serious injuries from a fall at his São Paulo home, which was reportedly undergoing construction at the time. Local publications, including Folha de Sao Paulo and O Estado de Sao Paulo, also reported that Germano had experienced a previous incident of losing his balance at his parents’ residence before this deadly accident.
A memorial service for Germano took place on Thursday, November 27, at the Bosque da Paz Cemetery in the São Paulo municipality of Vargem Grande Paulista, with plans for his burial to be determined at a later date.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of actor and voice artist Tony Germano on the morning of Wednesday, November 26. Tony suffered a fall at his residence and, unfortunately, did not survive his injuries,” his spokesperson conveyed.

The statement further appealed: “We kindly request respect and understanding during this painful period for his family, friends, and colleagues. Tony leaves behind a legacy of dedication, generosity, and immense talent that touched everyone privileged to work with him. His absence will be deeply felt.”
Germano was a highly active voice actor, providing Portuguese dubs for animated Netflix series such as Go, Dog, Go! and Disney’s Elena De Avalor.
He also contributed to Nickelodeon’s live-action comedy Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn and was involved in a project featuring The Muppets.
He delivered a notable supporting performance in Prime Video’s 2023 romantic-comedy An Unforgettable Year: Autumn, which chronicled an unlikely romance between a young student (Gabz) and a street musician (Lucas Leto) in São Paulo’s historic Paulista Avenue district. (The streaming film subsequently spawned a sequel, An Unforgettable Year: Spring, released later in 2023.)
Other significant film credits included the 2022 horror musical Phantom Summer and the forthcoming 2025 erotic thriller Labyrinth of Lost Boys. According to various Brazilian media outlets, Germano also lent his voice to the Portuguese-language soundtrack of Disney’s 2017 live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast.
The seasoned actor also maintained a distinguished career on stage, having graced productions like the Shakespearean parody Something Rotten!, The Wizard of Oz, and The Phantom of the Opera, among many other acclaimed theatrical works.
Brazilian actor and TV personality Miguel Falabella remembered Germano as “a peerless professional,” “a gifted actor,” and “a cherished friend.” In his Instagram tribute, Falabella reflected on some of Germano’s career milestones and their shared professional history.
“I had the honor of collaborating with him on several productions,” he added.
Germano’s friend and creative partner Matheus Marchetti was among the many who posted heartfelt tributes to the late actor on social media.
“I was in the middle of editing your scene for Dorian Gray when I received the news, and I still haven’t been able to process it… I had never lost a friend before,” Marchetti shared on X on Tuesday, November 26.
“And Tony Germano was truly the finest of friends, and an extraordinary artist. It's a shame for those who missed the chance to share moments with him, be it on theatrical stages, cinematic screens, or in their personal lives.”
An admirer reacted to the sorrowful news on X, writing: “Deeply saddened by this tragic news concerning Tony Germano. It appears he was dedicated to creating a wonderful home. May his legacy offer solace to his loved ones, and may he find eternal peace. #RestInPeace.”
