Tori Spelling Recalls Date with Charlie Sheen and Declined to Hide Him from Law Enforcement

Tori Spelling is sharing details of her past romantic encounter with the notorious Hollywood figure, Charlie Sheen.

With Sheen's personal journey receiving renewed attention due to his recent publication, The Life of Sheen: A Memoir, and his Netflix special, aka Charlie Sheen, Spelling chose to recount her past date with the acclaimed actor.

“At one point, [my friend and dentist] Kevin was acquainted with him during a period when they were both pursuing sobriety, and Kevin mentioned, ‘Charlie is interested in asking you out,’” the 52-year-old Spelling revealed during the September 22, Monday installment of iHeartRadio’s “missSPELLING” podcast. “I felt apprehensive and preferred not to attend by myself.”

In a narrative uniquely her own, the former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 recounted dining at an Italian eatery in Beverly Hills alongside the 60-year-old Sheen and some additional company.

“[Kevin] stated, ‘I’m having dinner with my mother and father,’ and Charlie and I were both familiar with his parents,” Spelling explained. “Therefore, it was Kevin’s parents, myself, Kevin, and Charlie who all attended the dinner.”

Although there was no immediate romantic connection, Spelling noted that she swiftly recognized Sheen’s “extraordinarily high intelligence.”

“Beyond measure,” she added regarding his intellectual capacity. “And his wit! He was truly captivating, clever, amusing, and sharp-minded. He possessed all these qualities.”

Although the encounter didn't lead to anything serious, Spelling proceeded to discuss an anecdote found in The Life of Sheen.

Sheen recounts that he had to evade law enforcement following a legal predicament. Regrettably for him, Spelling declined to offer assistance.

“I was in my laundry room when Kevin entered and asked, ‘T, I need a favor. Could we conceal Charlie here?’” Spelling asserted on her podcast. “This presented a serious problem. Authorities were actively pursuing him, even with helicopters. What would be the consequences if I harbored him?”

Spelling stated she firmly refused the request. Sheen subsequently penned in his memoir, “I couldn't fault her, I guess. But honestly, who knows what narrative I’d be creating right now if the offspring of the throne had agreed.”

Sheen's life has undergone significant transformations over the past few years. Speaking with Page Six, the actor revealed he has maintained sobriety — and celibacy — for eight years. He has also restored his strained connection with his former spouse, Denise Richards. (They are parents to two girls: Sami, 21, and Lola, 20.)

While the former couple is not rekindling their romance, Spelling mentioned that the idea occurred to her while viewing aka Charlie Sheen.

“I sensed it as well,” she shared with podcast guest Amy Sugarman, referring to the lingering affection between the former partners. “Remember, when they first encountered each other and had their initial date, and she states, ‘I arrived at his building, his condominium in Westwood,’ I resided in that very place.”
