Travis Kelce's Sweetest Gift for Taylor Swift? A Bread Slicer
Gift-giving aspirations! Travis Kelce has shared details about the surprising present that his fiancée Taylor Swift cherished most.
“I have to say, one of Tay’s favorite gifts that I gave her was the bread slicer,” Kelce, 36, revealed on the December 24 installment of his “New Heights” podcast. “[It’s] because she’s been frequently making sourdough.”
Travis then playfully remarked: “I’ve got the finest digestive health around. I love you, Tay!”
His brother, Jason Kelce, praised his sibling for the practical present while noting that “one of the most challenging aspects of baking fresh bread” is “attempting to slice it.”

“It’s difficult,” Jason, 38, complained. “The slicer makes a significant [difference].”
Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, jokingly expressed her constant concern about “the responsibility” of consuming the freshly baked bread.
“I take it upon myself to finish it off as quickly as possible,” Kylie, 33, quipped. “And that’s, probably, not ideal.”
Jason reassured his wife that she had a fitting reaction to fresh sourdough bread.
“It’s fresh! Bread — if it doesn’t contain preservatives and is shelf stable — no, it’s good for you,” Jason insisted.
Taylor, 36, is an enthusiastic baker who has transformed fresh baked sourdough bread into a signature offering for her loved ones. During her own “New Heights” appearance in August, the “Fate of Ophelia” singer explained that Travis joins her in sourdough bread competitions at home.
“We’ve arranged it so he has a station and I have a station,” Taylor confirmed. “His [sourdough] rose higher than mine. His is actually more flavorful than mine.”
On a November episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, Kylie ranked Taylor among the top of the “well-known bakers” in their family.
“Taylor creates an exceptional sourdough loaf. It’s truly delicious. And pop-tarts,” she added.
During the Christmas Eve edition of their “New Heights” podcast, Jason and Travis sought Kylie’s perspective on some of the best and worst gift ideas for a significant other. While Kylie approved of gift cards, Jason cautioned against giving such an impersonal present in a serious relationship.
“I simply feel like, if it’s someone special, I wouldn’t arrive at the holidays with just a gift card,” Jason chuckled, with Travis agreeing: “That’s the best advice Jason has ever given, right there!”
Jason was also hesitant to accept his wife’s suggestion about selecting clothing for a partner.
“I would probably choose the slightly larger size,” he teased. “You could also send some subtle signals there.”
Kylie admitted that it would “annoy [her]” if Jason bought her clothes that were too small — before quickly pointing out that others might feel differently.
“Let’s be honest, women’s sizes don’t really make sense,” Jason argued. “Men’s sizes are the actual measurement of our waist, or diameter. What are women’s sizes? They’re just arbitrary numbers to make them feel better.”
Kylie contributed by explaining, “[Sizes] are different at every store, in every brand! It doesn’t make any sense at all.”

Regarding scented candles, Kylie said that she personally “adores” them even though Jason has prohibited them at home.
“I don’t appreciate chemicals being burned and released into the air for me to breathe all day to potentially get lung cancer,” Jason clarified. “I don’t think it makes sense. Why would I want some artificial floral scent in the air that some person created in a lab from a combination of vegetables, this and that, this essence, I don’t want it in my face!”
His explanation surprised brother Travis, who responded with a laugh: “Oh my goodness! That is quite a position!”
“New Heights” releases new episodes on Wednesdays.
