Vanessa Hudgens Reflects on Life Before Two Babies

Vanessa Hudgens is fondly recalling the “easier” days prior to becoming a mother of two.

“Honestly, I haven’t attended any holiday gatherings or even left the house this holiday season,” Hudgens, 37, shared via Instagram on Sunday, December 28. “Newborn life is like that so here’s a picture of me from a time when I danced on tables. What a year it’s been. From that to being a mom of 2… What a journey.”

Alongside the message, Hudgens posted a photo of her smiling as she wore a vibrant pink one-piece swimsuit and knelt on a table. She complemented her look with a pair of sunglasses and tied her hair up in a bun.

Hudgens’ post comes roughly one month after she and her husband, Cole Tucker, welcomed their second baby.

“Well… I did it. I had another baby!!! What a wild experience labor is,” she wrote via Instagram in November. “Big appreciation to all the mothers. It’s truly remarkable what our bodies can do.”

In a separate post via her Instagram Story, Hudgens revealed that she had a broken capillary during the delivery. “Labor: Delivering babies and broken capillaries, haha,” she captioned a selfie.

Hudgens announced in July that she and Tucker, now 29, were expecting their second baby, sharing images of the pair displaying her baby bump. “Round two!!!!” she wrote via Instagram at the time.

Hudgens and the baseball player met in 2020, and were later seen holding hands in November of that year following her split from Austin Butler.

“Me and Cole met in a Zoom meditation group. It was quite random, yes,” Hudgens told Entertainment Tonight in April 2021. “Zoom, you really have to appreciate it. He’s just kind of perfect for me. I am [happy]. I truly am.”

A little while later, Hudgens explained that she initiated contact. “I simply sent him a direct message and was like, ‘Hey, it was nice to meet you.’ So I think there’s no shame in making the first move,” she said on The Drew Barrymore Show in May 2021.

Less than two years later, Us Weekly confirmed that the High School Musical star was engaged to Tucker. Hudgens later reflected on their relationship during an April 2023 appearance on the Today show.

“After our first weekend together, I called my sister and was like, ‘I think I just found my future husband,’ ” she said at the time.

Before Hudgens and Tucker exchanged vows, an insider exclusively told Us that the couple was imagining their future together.

“They both desire a family now and that’s what’s motivating them toward getting married [soon],” the source told Us in June 2023, noting that Hudgens had “no doubt” Tucker would be a wonderful father.

The couple said “I do” in Tulum, Mexico, in December 2023. Hudgens announced her first pregnancy in March 2024, showcasing her baby bump on the Oscars red carpet. Hudgens and Tucker welcomed their first child in July 2024.

“Mom, Dad and baby are happy and healthy,” she wrote via her Instagram Story at the time, describing it as a “special time” for the family.
