William H Macy and daughter Georgia shine on the red carpet at TIFF
William H. Macy spent some special moments with Georgia, his and Felicity Huffman's youngest child, during the Toronto International Film Festival.
The 75-year-old Macy escorted his 23-year-old daughter, Georgia, to the debut of his latest movie, Train Dreams, held on Tuesday, September 9. The pair, father and daughter, were photographed together on the red carpet.
The veteran actor appeared sharp in a traditional black suit. Georgia shone brightly in a flowing champagne-colored dress. She completed her ensemble with complementary strappy high heels and delicate adornments.
Macy shares the screen in Train Dreams with Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, and Kerry Condon. The movie centers on a logger, portrayed by Edgerton, as he endeavors to establish a railway network throughout the United States. Train Dreams is scheduled for theatrical release on November 7, followed by its streaming debut on Netflix on November 21.

Georgia and her father maintain a loving connection. In November 2022, she publicly shared her appreciation for Macy.
“I must have done something right in a previous existence to be blessed with such a family in this current one,” Georgia wrote alongside an Instagram photo collection featuring affectionate images of her and Macy.
Besides Georgia, Macy is also a father to Sophia, 25, with Huffman. Macy and Huffman exchanged vows in September 1997.
Sophia has since pursued a career similar to her renowned parents. In 2020, she was featured in the second season of Jordan Peele’s The Twilight Zone.
"I adore this profession,” Macy remarked to E! News in February 2024, responding to inquiries about his daughter entering the acting world. “I believed if I could succeed in it, then anyone else could too."
The family of Macy and Huffman garnered significant media attention in 2019 when the Desperate Housewives actress became implicated in the college admissions controversy. Huffman faced arrest in March 2019 on accusations of having paid $15,000 to inflate Sophia's SAT results.
After a two-month period, Huffman issued an apology and confessed her guilt regarding the offense. Her sentence included 11 days of incarceration, a $30,000 penalty, and 250 hours of public service.
Macy had no participation in the scandal, yet he remained supportive of his wife throughout her legal difficulties.

“All the positive aspects of my existence stem from Felicity Huffman,” he stated in a written endorsement submitted to the judge.
Subsequent to the scandal, Huffman made her television comeback with a part in Criminal Minds: Evolution. Macy demonstrated his support for his wife by attending her on-set filming.
“I visited her on set on a few occasions … and she thoroughly enjoyed herself,” he shared with Entertainment Tonight in May 2024. “I also believe her performance was excellent. I’m truly pleased she’s back to work.”
Towards the end of that year, Macy and Huffman became part of the ensemble for the second season of Accused. The husband and wife duo featured in the inaugural episode of the anthology program, broadcast in October 2024.
