Adolfo Domínguez Faces Another Leadership Shakeup

Spanish fashion house Adolfo Domínguez is experiencing continued leadership turnover, beginning 2026 without a managing director. Íñigo de Llano’s departure comes swiftly, just five months after his appointment, due to a misalignment between his strategic vision and that of the board of directors, as reported by La Voz de Galicia.

De Llano was brought on board in May to succeed Antonio Puente, whose removal as CEO had been previously decided by the board. He arrived with a strong industry background, boasting over twenty years of experience within the textile sector, notably gained during his tenure with the Inditex group. His previous roles encompassed senior responsibilities across key markets including the US, Australia, the UK, and Ireland.

However, the partnership proved short-lived. Sources within the company indicate that shareholders ultimately determined De Llano’s proposed strategy lacked sufficient support from the board, leading to the decision to terminate his employment. This marks another change in leadership for the established fashion brand.

Currently, the managing director position remains unfilled. Since Antonio Puente’s removal as CEO, Adriana Domínguez, the company’s president since 2020 and daughter of the founder, has been handling the top executive duties. She is currently overseeing the company’s operations during this period of transition.

Adolfo Domínguez, founded in the 1970s by designer Adolfo Domínguez, reported revenues of 65 million euros in the first half of the 2025 financial year. This revenue was particularly boosted by growth in international sales. The company operates a network of 371 retail locations across 51 countries and maintains an e-commerce presence in 31 markets.
