Aimé Leon Dore Expands Global Reach With Exclusive Mr Porter and Net-A-Porter Collections
New York City-based fashion brand Aimé Leon Dore has significantly expanded its global reach with the exclusive launch of two new mainline collections on premier fashion e-commerce platforms, Mr Porter and Net-A-Porter. These collections are also available directly through Aimé Leon Dore's own channels, marking a strategic move to bring the brand's distinctive aesthetic to a wider international audience.
The core aim of these collections is to encapsulate Aimé Leon Dore's "distinct rhythm of modern prep, street influence, and timeless spirit," while showcasing its signature balance of comfort and refinement. Drawing heavily from 1990s nostalgia through specific silhouettes, prints, and colour palettes, the pieces are firmly anchored in vintage roots but simultaneously present a strong contemporary footprint, catering to current fashion sensibilities.
For men, the collection introduces a range of relaxed yet polished pieces, including updated rugby shirts, lightweight shell jackets, and versatile everyday T-shirts, all reflecting the brand's modern-prep influences. Daniel Todd, buying director at Mr Porter, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We champion designers that shape the cultural conversation in menswear and Aimé Leon Dore has become a true leader in this space. This collection is representative of the easy-to-wear, timeless menswear the brand is known for.”
The women's collection, a result of close collaboration between Net-A-Porter and Aimé Leon Dore, offers a fresh perspective on how women can style the brand. Key pieces like crew-neck sweatshirts and flannel shirts have been updated with "understated versatility," designed to be effortlessly layered or worn as strong statement separates within a trans-seasonal wardrobe. Brigitte Chartrand, chief buying and merchandising officer at Net-A-Porter, commented, “Aimé Leon Dore has emerged as an influential voice in contemporary fashion. The collection captures the brand’s effortless approach to style, while introducing pieces that feel modern, versatile and true to the Net-A-Porter woman.”
The initial phase of this launch comprises a comprehensive 54-piece men’s collection, available exclusively at Mr Porter and Aimé Leon Dore, alongside a carefully curated 15-piece women’s collection, available exclusively at Net-A-Porter and Aimé Leon Dore. While these initial releases have just debuted, the brand has confirmed that remaining pieces from both collections will be introduced later in the year. This significant launch swiftly follows Aimé Leon Dore's recent successful limited-edition collaborative collection with US outdoorwear brand The North Face, which featured high-end outdoor apparel, equipment, and footwear, further cementing the brand's versatile appeal and growing influence in the fashion landscape.
