Alo Appoints Dior Veteran to Lead Global Expansion
Alo, the popular Los Angeles-based activewear brand, has announced the appointment of Benedetta Petruzzo as its new Chief Executive of International Operations. This strategic hire signals Alo’s continued ambition to solidify its position within the luxury market and expand its global reach.
In her newly created role, Petruzzo will be responsible for overseeing all of Alo’s international operations. Her key focus areas will include enhancing client experience, refining market strategies, and strengthening the brand’s identity on a global scale. She will also be instrumental in developing and growing Alo’s wellness category offerings.
Petruzzo brings a wealth of experience in the luxury sector to Alo. She joins the company from Dior, where she most recently served as Managing Director. Prior to Dior, she held the position of CEO at Miu Miu, the Prada-owned fashion house. Her career also includes a significant five-year period at Kering Eyewear, where she held various leadership positions, following an initial five years at the consultancy firm Bain & Co.
This appointment aligns with Alo’s broader strategy of elevating its luxury brand positioning. Last year, the company revealed plans to open a new flagship store in Paris, slated for completion in 2026. The location, on the prestigious Champs-Élysées, will occupy the space formerly held by Zara, demonstrating Alo’s commitment to establishing a strong presence in key luxury markets.
Founded in 2007 by Harris and Marco DeGeorge, who continue to serve as co-owners and co-CEOs, Alo has experienced significant growth. The brand, whose name represents air, land, and ocean, currently ships to 128 markets worldwide and operates over 100 retail stores across 26 countries, showcasing its expanding international footprint.
