Alo Yoga Sets Sights on Paris With Iconic Champs-Élysées Flagship Opening
The prestigious Avenue des Champs-Élysées is preparing to welcome a significant new addition to its retail landscape: Alo Yoga. This upcoming opening marks a pivotal moment in the premium sportswear brand’s strategic expansion across Western Europe, building on its growing presence, particularly within the UK market. Slated for 2026, Alo Yoga will occupy a substantial 2,120-square-meter space at 92 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, taking over the former Zara flagship store and joining an impressive lineup of established sports brands on the iconic Parisian thoroughfare, including Nike, Adidas, On Running, and its direct competitor, the Canadian brand Lululemon.
Alo Yoga's initial foray into England began in late 2023 with the launch of a 371-square-meter, two-storey flagship store on London’s King’s Road. This was quickly followed by a larger 929-square-meter retail space at 150 Regent Street, London, which opened its doors in August 2024. The American brand's European expansion continued with a new store in Dublin in late 2024, alongside further growth in London with openings on Brompton Road in September 2024 and in Covent Garden in early 2025, solidifying its foundational presence in key European cities.
As the year draws to a close, Alo Yoga’s European footprint is set to undergo a decisive acceleration. On October 8, the company announced plans for four additional locations across the UK. These new "community hubs," as described by Summer Nacewicz, executive vice-president of marketing and creative at Alo Yoga, are slated to open between late 2025 and 2026 in major cities including Manchester, London, and Leeds. Nacewicz expressed the brand's enthusiasm, stating, "We’re delighted to expand Alo’s presence in the UK with four new community hubs. Each space has been carefully designed to reflect the spirit of its city while offering our community a place to connect, recharge, and thrive."
The first of these four new UK stores will open in the North of England on November 21, occupying a 638-square-meter space at 5 New Cathedral Street in Manchester, directly opposite the Manchester Arndale shopping centre. This will be followed by two new London locations: a 600-square-meter store opening on November 28 at Westfield London, and a 230-square-meter boutique debuting on December 5 at Battersea Power Station, the redeveloped former industrial complex. Finally, 2026 will see the opening of a 622-square-meter store at the Victoria Leeds shopping centre in West Yorkshire.
Founded in 2007 by Danny Harris and Marco DeGeorge and owned by Color Image Apparel, Alo Yoga has rapidly ascended in the sportswear sector. The business reportedly surpassed the billion-dollar sales mark as early as 2022, a testament to its strong brand appeal and effective market strategy. With these strategic openings, Alo Yoga continues to build significant momentum, cementing its position as a leading player in the global premium sportswear market.
