Aritzia Boasts Stellar Q2 with 31.9% Revenue Surge Driven by U.S. Expansion and E-commerce Strength
Canadian fashion retailer Aritzia has reported a robust financial performance for its second quarter, ending August 31, with net revenue surging by 31.9%. The strong results are largely attributed to escalated demand in the United States market and sustained growth in its e-commerce operations. The Vancouver-based company announced that total net revenues reached an impressive $812.1 million during this period.
The company experienced a comparable sales growth of 21.6%, primarily propelled by its expansion in the United States. Net revenue from the U.S. climbed by a significant 40.7% to $486.1 million, now constituting nearly 60% of Aritzia's total revenue. Retail revenue also saw a substantial increase of 34.3% to $571.7 million, bolstered by the strategic opening of new boutiques and strong performance from existing locations. Over the past year, Aritzia expanded its physical footprint by adding 13 new stores and repositioning four, bringing its total boutique count to 134. Concurrently, e-commerce revenue demonstrated continued momentum, rising 26.5% to $240.3 million, which accounts for nearly 30% of the company's overall sales.
Aritzia's profitability metrics showed an even more dramatic improvement. Net income soared by 263% to $66.3 million, translating to $0.56 per diluted share, a substantial increase compared to $18.2 million, or $0.16 per share, reported in the same quarter last year. Adjusted net income similarly climbed by 184.6% to $69.8 million, or $0.59 per share, underscoring the company's enhanced operational efficiency and market success.
Jennifer Wong, Aritzia's chief executive officer, commented on the stellar performance, stating, "Our performance was fueled by robust demand for our high-quality beautiful products, including an outstanding response to our Fall launch, as well as our strong inventory position, strategic marketing investments and new boutique openings." Her statement highlights the multifaceted approach taken by the company to achieve these results.
Looking ahead, Aritzia remains optimistic about its future growth trajectory. For Q3 Fiscal 2026, the retailer anticipates net revenue to be between $875 million and $900 million, representing a growth rate of 20% to 24%. The full fiscal 2026 year forecast projects net revenue between $3.30 billion and $3.35 billion, reflecting an approximate growth of 21% to 22%, alongside an adjusted EBITDA margin expected to be between 15.5% and 16.5%.
