Aritzia’s Revenue Soars: Retailer Sees Massive Growth and Strong Future Outlook

Canadian fashion retailer Aritzia reported a remarkably strong third quarter, ending November 30th, with a 42.8% increase in net revenue. This substantial growth was propelled by robust demand across all sales channels and geographic regions, demonstrating the brand’s continued appeal to consumers.

The company achieved a record-breaking quarterly revenue of $1.04 billion, a significant leap from the same period last year. This success was underpinned by a 34.3% increase in comparable sales, showcasing double-digit growth in both retail stores and online, as well as in both the Canadian and United States markets.

Aritzia’s expansion in the United States proved particularly successful, with net revenue increasing by 53.8% to $621.1 million, compared to $403.7 million in the third quarter of the previous year. Simultaneously, the Canadian market also experienced strong growth, with net revenue rising by 29.0% to $419.2 million.

Breaking down revenue by channel, retail sales climbed 35.1% to $657.3 million, while e-commerce experienced an even more impressive surge of 58.2%, reaching $383.0 million. This highlights Aritzia’s successful omnichannel strategy and increasing digital presence. Over the last twelve months, the company expanded its physical footprint, opening 13 new boutiques and repositioning four existing locations, bringing the total global store count to 139.

Profitability also saw significant gains, with net income increasing by 87.5% to $138.9 million. Adjusted net income per diluted share rose by 54.9% to $1.10. Jennifer Wong, Aritzia’s Chief Executive Officer, attributed the strong performance to “unparalleled demand for our everyday luxury offering,” fueled by digital initiatives like the launch of their app, new boutique openings, and strategic marketing investments.

Wong further noted the continued momentum into the fourth quarter, citing strong holiday demand for the Winter collection and effective execution of the company’s three core growth strategies: geographic expansion, digital growth, and increased brand awareness. The impressive growth in the US, with a 54% revenue increase, was specifically highlighted as evidence of the brand’s expanding recognition and positive trajectory.

Looking ahead, Aritzia anticipates fourth-quarter net revenue to fall between $1.10 billion and $1.125 billion, representing a projected growth rate of 23 to 26 percent. For the full fiscal year, the company forecasts net revenue between $3.615 billion and $3.64 billion, an approximate increase of 33 percent compared to the previous fiscal year.
