Arket brings Nordic style to Chelsea with new King's Road flagship

H&M Group’s Nordic design and lifestyle brand, Arket, has significantly expanded its footprint in London with the opening of its latest store in Chelsea. The new destination, located on the vibrant King’s Road at 196-222, officially welcomed customers on Friday, 26 September. This launch marks Arket’s fourth physical presence within the UK capital, complementing its existing stores on Regent Street, in Covent Garden, and its concession within Selfridges.

The King’s Road store boasts a substantial total area of 521 square metres, thoughtfully arranged across two distinct levels. Inside, shoppers will experience Arket’s signature aesthetic, characterised by a refined monochrome palette of soft greys and an emphasis on natural materials. Key design features include custom-made terrazzo flooring, elegant oak interiors, and carefully integrated lush greenery, all contributing to a calm and inviting shopping environment.

This new retail space is designed to offer a meticulously curated selection of Arket’s extensive product range. Customers can explore ready-to-wear collections and accessories for both women and men, alongside a charming array of childrenswear. Beyond fashion, the store also features a range of bodycare products and stylish interior items, allowing visitors to immerse themselves fully in the Arket lifestyle concept.

The choice of King’s Road as the location is strategic, given its reputation as one of London’s key and most dynamic shopping thoroughfares. The area is known for attracting a diverse and robust mix of shoppers, including affluent local residents, daily commuters, and a substantial number of tourists from both within the UK and internationally, ensuring high visibility and footfall for the brand.

Arket’s latest London debut follows a month of significant expansion for the brand, as it also recently made its first physical entry into the Irish market. Earlier in September, Arket opened a new store at 60 Dawson Street, centrally located in the heart of Dublin, underscoring its continued growth and commitment to international retail presence.
