Beckham and Boss redefine winter style with their timeless AW25 collection
The highly anticipated collaboration between global style icon David Beckham and the German fashion powerhouse Boss is making a grand return with its Autumn/Winter 2025 collection. This second chapter of their partnership delves into a celebration of "timeless silhouettes, heritage styling, and impeccable design," meticulously co-designed by Beckham himself. The collection aims to redefine seasonal style, blending exquisite tailoring with luxurious fabrics, a refined colour palette, and a clear nod to David Beckham’s personal affinity for outdoor cold-weather pastimes.
Boss describes the new range as the "ultimate seasonal edit," specifically engineered to elevate any wardrobe with versatile pieces capable of transitioning seamlessly from bustling city streets to tranquil countryside escapes. Marco Falcioni, SVP of creative direction at Hugo Boss, emphasised the collection's natural evolution from their debut collaboration. He stated that it allows David Beckham’s distinctive personal style to shine through, while maintaining the classic Boss feeling at its core. Falcioni highlighted the hands-on collaboration, resulting in a wardrobe that is both versatile and elegant, perfectly suited for both urban environments and the great outdoors.
David Beckham shared his personal inspiration for the collection, revealing, "Right from the early stages of development I wanted to create a collection inspired by the feeling I get when I am at home in the countryside in the colder months." He further elaborated on the focus of this second collection, noting, "With my second collection with Boss, we’ve put a strong focus on textures and materials that give classic pieces a fresh, modern feel." This emphasis on tactile qualities and updated aesthetics is central to the collection’s identity.
A core element of the AW25 offering is its reinvented approach to tailoring. These pieces are revisited through the lens of rich, sophisticated fabrics and fresh colours, with a paramount focus on versatility. Key examples include sharp-shouldered jackets featuring a defined torso, expertly complemented by the collection’s signature mid-waisted, tapered trousers. Luxurious materials such as cashmere, as well as robust cotton corduroy and virgin wool, are presented in an autumnal palette of brown, burgundy, and soft cream. These fabrics are designed to evoke a winter-ready feel, whether interpreted as a standalone blazer or as part of a coordinated two-piece ensemble.
For more formal occasions, an elegant checked wool flannel ensemble in sophisticated grey is featured, styled with a classic double-breasted jacket and tapered trousers, making it suitable for both professional settings and beyond. Everyday shirting options include crisp blue cotton poplin and comfortable grey cotton jersey, providing a polished yet relaxed finish. As cooler days approach, the collection introduces a wide selection of chunky knits, imbued with a distinct British flair. These knits promise bold textures and cozy comfort, ranging from plain knit to ribbed and cable knit constructions in neutral tones like dark brown and navy. Crew necks and practical zip-up designs are crafted for effortless layering, while sumptuous cashmere roll necks in rich burgundy and chalky beige stand out as enduring winter favourites.
The collection's bottom wear includes pleat-front trousers in brushed cotton and wool flannel, available in a rich autumnal spectrum of brown, green, and beige. For a more relaxed aesthetic, dark blue cotton cargo pants and classic-fit jeans in an authentic wash offer comfortable yet stylish alternatives. Outerwear pieces are inspired by rugged workwear, featuring a black raw denim jacket with a refined brown cotton cord collar and a cashmere/wool-blend liner. A bonded parka crafted from technical rainproof fabric with taped seams provides robust protection, while bomber jackets are offered in versatile nylon, luxurious cashmere-wool blends, and sophisticated sueded shearling. A particular standout is the vintage-inspired trucker jacket, crafted from dark brown nubuck leather and accented with a cream shearling collar.
To complete the look, the footwear lineup anchors the collection with rugged workwear-inspired boots, sleek leather Chelsea boots, and updated cold-weather sneakers. Beyond apparel, a thoughtfully curated selection of accessories is available, including neckwear, hats, bags, and small leather goods. These items are meticulously crafted from premium materials such as silk, wool-cashmere blends, and suede, ensuring a touch of luxury in every detail. The accompanying campaign, art-directed by Team Laird and shot by the renowned duo Mert and Marcus, took place within the grand setting of an 18th-century London mansion. This stripped-back, stately-home backdrop was chosen to perfectly mirror the collection’s core ethos: a harmonious and sophisticated blend of heritage and modernity.
