Belstaff Arrives in Leeds with New Flagship Store Under Castore Ownership

Belstaff, the iconic British heritage brand, has marked a significant milestone with the opening of its inaugural full-price store in Leeds. This new retail destination is strategically located on Vicar Lane within the prestigious Victoria Leeds shopping centre, nestled in the historic Victoria Quarter. The store proudly showcases the brand's entire range, encompassing its latest collections, renowned motorcycle apparel, and the eagerly anticipated Autumn/Winter 2025 offerings.

This latest expansion comes on the heels of major news for Belstaff, which was recently acquired by Castore, the rapidly expanding premium sportswear business. This strategic acquisition promises a revitalised and brighter future for the heritage label, leveraging Castore’s impressive track record in growing its own signature brand. The move is expected to inject new dynamism into Belstaff, fostering further development and market presence.

The Leeds opening is particularly notable as it represents only the third full-price store for Belstaff within the entire UK market. This limited direct retail footprint underscores the importance of the new Leeds location, positioning it as a pivotal touchpoint for customers to experience the brand's complete vision and premium products in person. The store's interior design is a direct continuation of the innovative 'Future Garage' concept, which first debuted at Belstaff's London flagship in 2024. This contemporary design philosophy serves as a stylish homage to the brand's rich motorcycle heritage, blending modern aesthetics with nostalgic nods to its adventurous roots. Furthermore, the choice of Leeds resonates deeply with Belstaff's origins, as founders Eli Belovich and Harry Grosberg first conceived the brand's pioneering idea in Manchester, forging a historic connection to the North of England.

Rachel Bradburn, Head of Leasing at landlord Redical, expressed enthusiasm for Belstaff's arrival, stating, “As Victoria Leeds’ line-up continues to grow, so does our status as the region’s go-to location for retailers.” She added, “Belstaff is a premium addition to our flourishing destination, extending our menswear offer and delivering a distinct point of difference.” Bradburn also hinted at exciting prospects for the future, revealing that Redical is preparing “for even more landmark Leeds debuts,” signaling continued growth and diversification for the Victoria Leeds retail landscape.
