BFC Invests in Future of British Fashion with 2025/26 Scholarship Recipients

The British Fashion Council (BFC) has proudly announced the distinguished recipients of its 2025/26 BFC Foundation BA and MA Scholarships, a pivotal initiative designed to nurture the next generation of creative talent within the British fashion industry. These scholarships underscore the BFC's unwavering commitment to fostering education and securing the future of British creativity by providing crucial financial backing and invaluable industry access to promising students across the UK.

The new MA scholarship cohort welcomes exceptional talents embarking on their Master of Arts in Fashion Design at BFC Colleges Council member universities. Sabrina Nieddu from Kingston School of Art and She Carmona from UAL Central Saint Martins are among those recognised for their potential. Prestigious named scholarships further highlight outstanding individuals: Elizabeth Uno-Ekwang (UAL Central Saint Martins) has been awarded the Chanel MA scholarship, George Zverko (UAL Central Saint Martins) receives the Dior Men MA scholarship, and Stella Osei (UAL Central Saint Martins) is the recipient of the Joe Casely-Hayford MA scholarship.

In addition to the new intake, the BFC Foundation continues its support for several returning MA scholars, acknowledging their ongoing dedication and progress. These include Oliver Clarke and Yodea Marquel Williams, both continuing their studies at UAL Central Saint Martins, alongside Geraint Brian Lewis from UAL London College of Fashion, whose sustained excellence has earned renewed scholarship.

On the undergraduate front, the new BA scholarship recipients for the 2025/26 academic year include Madeleine Miller, representing the University of Westminster, and Malachi Marriner from UAL Central Saint Martins. Their selection reflects their burgeoning talent and the promise they hold for the future of fashion design.

The returning BA scholars demonstrate a consistent level of achievement. This year's line-up features a talented trio from UAL Central Saint Martins: Abdula Ahmad, Ayobami Ajetomobi, and Cléa Henry-Gabriel-Calixte. They are joined by Molly Putner from Kingston University and Reuben Harris from the University of Westminster. Furthermore, Aaysha Mehra from Manchester Fashion Institute has been named a BA final-year scholarship recipient, while other returning BA scholars include Aaron Adkins (Manchester Fashion Institute), Aliyah Dankwah (University of Westminster), Luke Saul (UAL Central Saint Martins), and Zahra Al-Najjar (UAL Central Saint Martins).

At its core, the BFC Foundation initiative is dedicated to "funding education… and fueling the future of British creativity." It provides essential financial support to students who have either received offers from or are currently enrolled at BFC Colleges Council member universities throughout the United Kingdom. This ensures that financial barriers do not impede access to world-class fashion education.

Beyond the critical financial aid, each BFC scholar gains exclusive access to the comprehensive BFC Scholars Programme for the entire duration of their scholarship. This invaluable programme offers a rich array of resources, including bespoke advisory touchpoints, participation in industry-led workshops, and diverse creative development opportunities. These elements are meticulously designed to bridge the crucial gap between academic learning and successful professional practice, preparing scholars for dynamic careers within the global fashion landscape.

Laura Weir, Chief Executive of the BFC, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the newest and returning scholars. She remarked, “Your ideas, energy and determination will define the next chapter of British fashion. These scholarships are about more than funding. They are about access, and opportunity. They ensure that creativity is not confined to geography or privilege but open to talent wherever it lives, from cities to regions, from established fashion schools to new voices rising outside the traditional centres.” Her words powerfully encapsulate the inclusive and forward-thinking ethos of the BFC Foundation.

The 2025/26 BFC Foundation Scholarships reaffirm the British Fashion Council's unwavering commitment to investing in talent, fostering diversity, and ensuring that the UK remains at the forefront of global fashion innovation through robust educational support and strategic career development opportunities.
