Bimba y Lola starts fiscal year strong with sales jump and global expansion

Bimba y Lola has reported a robust financial start to its fiscal year, achieving a 7% increase in sales during the first half of fiscal 2025. While the Spanish fashion and accessories brand opted not to disclose specific turnover figures for the period, it underscored a "positive" performance across both its domestic market in Spain and its diverse international territories. Significantly, international sales continued to be a powerful engine for growth, contributing 44% to the brand's total business.

The first six months of the year also saw strategic expansion of Bimba y Lola's global retail footprint. The brand successfully grew its network to 311 points of sale, adding one new location since the close of 2024, now reaching customers across 32 markets spanning Europe, the Americas, and Asia. This physical retail network demonstrated strong vitality, recording a 6% increase in sales during the period, notably bolstered by the addition of a new store in Monterrey.

Parallel to its physical growth, Bimba y Lola's online channel played a crucial role in its half-year success. E-commerce accounted for a significant 20% of the total business and posted an impressive 12% year-on-year growth. This digital acceleration was further amplified by the launch of the brand’s new global e-commerce platform during the same period. This platform now allows customers to directly purchase Bimba y Lola's collections through bimbaylola.com in "virtually every country in the world," as stated by the Galician label.

Looking ahead into the second half of the year, Bimba y Lola has already taken decisive strategic steps to continue its growth trajectory. A major milestone includes the opening of its first store in China, located in the bustling city of Shanghai, marking a significant entry into one of the world's largest luxury markets. The brand, founded by sisters María and Uxía Domínguez, reported a strong turnover of €234 million in 2024 and is proudly celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025.

In line with its established artistic affiliations, Bimba y Lola has also engaged in prestigious cultural partnerships this year. Early on, the brand collaborated with the National Gallery in London, which is celebrating its own bicentenary. Further solidifying its commitment to the arts, Bimba y Lola will lend its support to the eagerly anticipated retrospective dedicated to the acclaimed artist Maruja Mallo, set to be exhibited at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid.
