Bimba y Lola Taps Former Tous CEO Carlos Soler Duffo for Strategic Board Expansion

Bimba y Lola is set to significantly bolster its board of directors with the strategic appointment of Carlos Soler Duffo, effective from 2026. This pivotal move by the Galician fashion house is integral to its ongoing journey of development as a global brand, underscoring a commitment to fortify all facets of its management structure.

Carlos Soler Duffo brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as the CEO of Tous from 2019 until 2025. His departure from the Catalan jewellery giant was publicly announced last September, coinciding with the confirmation of Susana Sánchez, formerly of Parfois, as Tous's new chief executive. Prior to his tenure as CEO, Soler Duffo held several high-level positions within Tous, overseeing key commercial and marketing departments. His extensive career also includes leadership roles as managing director at Punt Roma, and at Marionnaud/AS Watson across both Spain and Portugal, showcasing a diverse background in retail management.

Uxía Domínguez, President and co-founder of Bimba y Lola alongside her sister María, expressed immense enthusiasm regarding the new appointment. "The addition of Carlos Soler Duffo to the board brings us enormous value and top-level knowledge on essential issues, enabling us to continue meeting the objectives of our strategic plan," she stated. Domínguez further emphasized the positive impact, noting, "It is really positive for Bimba y Lola to have a professional who contributes so much as we face the coming years of our project."

The announcement comes as Bimba y Lola celebrates its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of growth and innovation. The brand reported a robust 7% increase in sales during the first half of the current financial year, as disclosed last September, though specific turnover figures for that period were not released. For the entirety of the 2024 financial year, Bimba y Lola recorded an impressive turnover of €234 million. Beyond financial performance, the brand has been actively pursuing strategic expansion, highlighted by the recent opening of its inaugural store in China, located in Shanghai, and the substantial global expansion of its online retail platform.
