Bleckmann expands its European footprint with a new logistics hub in Spain
The omni-channel logistics specialist Bleckmann is strengthening its footprint in the European market by inaugurating a new distribution center in Spain. Located in Riudellots de la Selva (Girona), the facility is designed to consolidate Bleckmann's presence in southern Europe and enhance the agility of its logistics operations for clients in the region.
Quentin Godfirnon, Bleckmann's director of operations in Spain, highlighted the strategic importance of the new hub. "This new distribution centre reflects Bleckmann's commitment to supporting the growth of our customers in Spain and southern Europe," Godfirnon explained. He added that the center's "strategic location and advanced capabilities will enable us to offer faster, smarter and more sustainable logistics solutions."
Spanning a total area of 9,904 square metres, the center operates as a multi-client facility. It is equipped with ten loading docks and incorporates advanced security measures, including on-site personnel and comprehensive video-surveillance technology. To optimize efficiency, the facility utilizes automation features such as unloading conveyors and RFID tunnels, complemented by a fleet of 20 materials-handling vehicles.
The new distribution center offers a comprehensive range of services tailored for the fashion and lifestyle sectors. These services include customs management, quality control, labelling, bagging, and the company's "Renewal Workshop." It also supports full third-party logistics (3PL) activities, encompassing inbound processing, pick-and-pack operations, outbound shipping, stock control, and returns management. This expansion enhances Bleckmann's capability to deliver faster and more efficient solutions to its regional customers.
Established in 1862, Bleckmann has built a reputation as a leading provider of supply chain services for fashion and lifestyle brands. Today, the company maintains a broad international presence spanning Europe, the United States, and Asia. Bleckmann employs approximately 6,500 people worldwide and recorded revenues of €641 million in 2024.
