Calida Group nominates Caroline Forster and Nicole Loeb to strengthen retail and textile expertise
The Calida Group is strengthening its Board of Directors to broaden its expertise in retail and the textile industry. This strategic move aims to reinforce the Group’s direction, with a specific focus on increasing efficiency in product development and brand communications for its key brands, Calida and Aubade.
In line with this initiative, the Board of Directors intends to propose the election of Caroline Forster and Nicole Loeb as additional members to the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on April 15, 2026.
Caroline Forster brings extensive leadership experience in both operational and strategic roles. Since 2008, she has served as co-CEO of the Forster Group, a St. Gallen-based family-owned company that operates globally. The group, which employs around 850 people, produces high-quality embroidery for haute couture, prêt-à-porter, interiors, and lingerie, along with technical textiles. Forster has held various board and industry positions since 2007 and was a member of the Executive Committee of economiesuisse until the end of 2024.
Nicole Loeb is a prominent leader and entrepreneur in Swiss retail. Since 2005, she has shaped the strategic development of Loeb Holding as delegate of the Board of Directors and as chair of the Board of Directors of Loeb AG, a long-established independent retail company headquartered in Bern. Holding a degree in textile business management, she is also active in key industry and business organizations, including serving as a board member of the Swiss Retail Federation and on the regional economic advisory board of the Swiss National Bank.
Felix Sulzberger, chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed his confidence in the appointments, stating, "I am delighted that, with Caroline Forster and Nicole Loeb, we can propose two renowned and successful entrepreneurs and leaders for election to the Board of Directors." He added that their "proven experience in the textile industry and retail" would provide valuable impetus for the Calida Group’s strategic development. Sulzberger concluded, "I am convinced that, drawing on insights from their own family businesses, they will help shape our Group's future strategic direction in a lasting way."
