Celine Solidifies Alpine Presence With New Flagship On Zurich’s Bahnhofstrasse
Celine is concluding the year with a significant expansion in the Alpine region, establishing new presences on two major fronts. Following closely on the heels of its opening on Vienna’s Kohlmarkt, the luxury brand has unveiled a new flagship boutique on Zurich’s prestigious Bahnhofstrasse. This move replaces Celine’s previous, smaller establishment in the Swiss banking metropolis, located on Storchengasse, which has since closed its doors.
Spanning three floors, the new Zurich boutique showcases a comprehensive range of Celine's collections, including womenswear, Beauté, Haute Parfumerie, and the Maison line. The interior design emphasizes a minimalist ambience specifically crafted to resonate with its discerning clientele. The space achieves a refined aesthetic through the use of high-end materials such as Grigio Carnico marble paired with travertine, polished natural stone, silvered mirrors, and gilded metals.
The flooring throughout the boutique features Basaltina finished with a French-inspired chevron motif. Further accents are provided by ultra-clear mirrors—some featuring an antique-gold finish—alongside neon lighting and polished metals. Furnishings in the store's various lounge areas thoughtfully blend vintage and contemporary elements to create a sophisticated environment.
The ground floor is dedicated to women’s accessories and leather goods. It also features a specific area for fragrances and beauty products, complete with a dedicated beauty counter and a fragrance organ. A sculptural golden cube encloses an exclusive private area within this space. A striking staircase, which unites Arabescato marble with vertical mirrors in a rhythmic interplay, leads guests to the first floor, where the ready-to-wear collections are housed. This floor also includes a large private area at the rear dedicated to personal shopping.
As part of the Celine Art Project, the new boutique incorporates a curated selection of contemporary artworks. Key pieces on display include a textile composition by Joël Andrianomearisoa, a sculptural frame crafted by Indrikis Gelzis, and a painting by Maia Ruth Lee, further enhancing the store's aesthetic appeal for its clientele.
