Centric Brands Expands Global Kids Footprint with Vingino Group Acquisition

Centric Brands has announced the acquisition of the Vingino Group, an international children’s fashion lifestyle brand. This strategic move is poised to significantly bolster Centric's international kids business by enabling the company to capitalize on Vingino’s established operational and design infrastructure. Crucially, Centric will gain access to Vingino’s extensive retail relationships across Europe, Central America, and South America, along with its robust merchandising capabilities.

Jason Rabin, chief executive officer of Centric Brands, highlighted the perfect alignment of this acquisition with the company’s global growth strategy. "Vingino’s design and sourcing strength coupled with their EU and Central and South American networks and relationships fit perfectly into our global growth strategy," Rabin stated. He further expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, adding, "We look forward to working closely with the Vingino team as an integral partner to strengthen and scale our international Kids platform."

Established in 2001 and headquartered in the Netherlands, Vingino has built a strong reputation as a denim-focused, multi-category global brand. The company is widely recognized for its commitment to quality craftsmanship and enduring style, which forms the core of its children’s fashion offerings.

Jan van den Berg, chief executive officer of Vingino, also shared his optimism regarding the acquisition. This acquisition follows Centric Brands' earlier strategic appointment of Rob Smith as president of its kids division this year. Centric Brands boasts an impressive portfolio, holding licenses for more than 100 iconic brands within its kid’s category, including globally recognized names such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, and Under Armour, further solidifying its presence in the children's fashion market.
