Centric Software Appoints Longtime Leader Fabrice Canonge as New CEO to Drive AI and SaaS Innovation
Centric Software, a distinguished product lifecycle management (PLM) specialist operating under the ownership of Dassault Systèmes, has officially announced the appointment of Fabrice Canonge as its new chief executive officer. This significant leadership change marks a new chapter for the company as it continues to innovate within the PLM space.
Fabrice Canonge brings deep institutional knowledge and extensive experience to his new role, having been an integral part of Centric Software since joining in 2004. Throughout his nearly two-decade tenure, he has held a variety of critical positions, including vice-president of European sales, a role he later expanded to global sales, chief operating officer, and most recently, president since March 2023. Prior to his impactful career at Centric, Canonge also contributed his expertise to enterprise software specialist PTC and Italian vendor Finmatica.
Dassault Systèmes has articulated Fabrice Canonge’s core mission as defining and accelerating Centric Software’s strategic roadmap, particularly focusing on its software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings. This mandate is designed to ensure the company effectively meets the evolving needs of its diverse customer base and strengthens its market leadership through the development and deployment of a new generation of AI-powered cloud solutions.
With its advanced artificial intelligence-powered PLM solutions, Centric Software currently serves an impressive portfolio of more than 700 brands across 59 countries worldwide. The company is actively leveraging AI to develop and enhance a range of new capabilities, including critical areas such as planning, pricing, inventory management, product experience management (PXM), and comprehensive market intelligence.
Acquired by Dassault Systèmes in 2018, Centric Software has consistently pursued an aggressive growth strategy, notably through strategic acquisitions. This approach was exemplified at the end of 2021 with the takeover of Italian retail planning specialist Harmonica Retail. More recently, in February, the company further expanded its capabilities by acquiring German product management tools provider Contentserv.
