David Beckham's Business Empire Achieves Record Growth Driven by Strategic Partnerships
DRJB Holdings, the umbrella company for David Beckham's extensive business activities, has announced what it describes as a "record year of growth" for 2024, with significant momentum continuing into 2025. The company reported double-digit profit increases and the successful securing of new "strategic multi-sector partnership adventures" across various global fields, underscoring the robust expansion of the David Beckham brand.
Financially, DRJB Holdings showcased a mixed but ultimately strong performance. Consolidated revenue for the year saw a modest 1% increase in dollar terms, rising to $92.3 million from $91.2 million. However, when converted to British pounds, the revenue actually experienced a slight dip, moving from £73.4 million in the previous year to £72.2 million in 2024. In contrast, consolidated net profit demonstrated substantial growth, surging by 24% in dollars to $44.9 million from $36.2 million. This positive trend was consistent in pounds as well, with net profit climbing to £35.1 million from £29.1 million.
This period of significant growth follows a pivotal 2022 investment by Authentic Brands Group (ABG) in David Beckham Ventures Limited. This strategic partnership formed a global management collaboration aimed at stewarding and expanding the David Beckham brand worldwide. Since its inception, the brand has reportedly "grown consistently," culminating in the aforementioned double-digit profit growth in 2024 as it continued to thrive, forge partnerships with world-leading brands, and venture into innovative new business areas.
A key driver of the brand's success in 2024 was the strengthening of its licensed businesses and the formation of high-profile partnerships. Eyewear manufacturer Safilo acquired the perpetual license to design, produce, and distribute the David Beckham eyewear collection, a move that solidifies the brand's standing in the premium eyewear market and ensures ongoing product innovation. Additionally, a multi-year deal was secured with Boss, leading to the launch of a new David Beckham collection – a partnership described as a first of its kind for Boss menswear. The group also expanded into the wellness sector and established strategic alliances with other notable brands including Bowers & Wilkins, Stella Artois, and Shark Ninja.
Looking beyond the reporting period, DRJB Holdings indicates that its growth trajectory is set to continue. Since the close of 2024, further new commercial brand partners have been added to its diverse portfolio. This includes new contracts with major players such as US telecoms giant Verizon, with more significant announcements anticipated in the coming months, particularly in the run-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
