Denim Première Vision Set to Unveil Spring/Summer 2027 Trends and Innovations in Milan
Denim Première Vision is set to unveil its Spring/Summer 2027 edition at Milan’s prestigious Superstudio Più on November 26 and 27. This highly anticipated event serves as a comprehensive global platform, showcasing the latest advancements and innovations across the denim industry. Attendees can look forward to two days of immersive experiences, featuring a diverse array of exhibitors, cutting-edge trends, insightful conferences, and unparalleled networking opportunities.
The upcoming edition promises a robust gathering of 65 exhibitors, including a strong contingent of 45 textile manufacturers. Reflecting its international appeal, the event will host exhibitors representing around fifteen nationalities. This diverse lineup is further strengthened by five accessories manufacturers specializing in crucial components like zips, buttons, and rivets, alongside three prominent yarn and fibre producers: Casati Flock, Mic, and XLance. A notable expansion is the presence of approximately a dozen garment manufacturers, with significant representation from key denim hubs such as Turkey, Italy, China, and Portugal. Fabio Adami Dalla Val, the show's director, specifically highlighted the exciting addition of two Portuguese garment manufacturers, Pizarro and IVN Industria, noting this as a new and interesting development. The event will also feature the participation of around ten Japanese companies, underscoring its broad international scope.
Central to the show's dynamic offerings is the "Denim Fashion District," now in its eighth iteration. This curated space, spearheaded by designer Olivia Spinelli and Opaa Studio, will spotlight the innovative work of 23 forward-thinking brands, including industry luminary Adriano Goldschmied of Daily Blue. Complementing this, the dedicated trends area is described by the show director as "the heart of the show," designed to offer visitors a comprehensive and relevant overview of contemporary developments in denim, spanning trends, materials, and technological advancements. This area will also host the "Underrated project," a collaborative initiative that brought together manufacturers, weavers, and print specialists to create a unique collection under the artistic direction of Kristian Guerra.
Beyond the exhibition floor, a meticulously curated program of conferences will enrich the two-day event. Several sessions will delve into the anticipated trends for Spring/Summer 2027, providing critical foresight for the industry. Esteemed speakers, including G-Star creative directors Lisi Herrebrugh and Rushemy Botter, will share their invaluable insights. A compelling industry debate is also slated, featuring prominent figures such as Maurizio Donadi of Champion, Adriano Goldschmied, and the co-founders of Seafarer, Manuela Mariotti and Massimo Berloni.
A particularly timely and strategic issue, the future of dyeing in the denim industry, will be explored in a dedicated conference. This session will bring together three innovative players who are revolutionizing the field: US-based Chloris, known for its bio-based blue dyes produced via microbial fermentation; Italy’s Officina 39, recognized for its sustainable dyes and pigments; and the UK’s Infinity Blue, celebrated for its groundbreaking process to recover indigo from textile waste. This discussion promises to highlight cutting-edge solutions for a more sustainable denim future.
The previous edition of Denim Première Vision, held in Milan on May 21 and 22, successfully attracted 2,100 visitors and featured 84 exhibitors, setting a strong precedent for the upcoming November event. The continued commitment to innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration reinforces Denim Première Vision's position as a pivotal event for the international denim community.
