Dolce & Gabbana Illuminates the Holidays with Enchanting Sicilian Inspired Markets Worldwide
Dolce & Gabbana, the esteemed fashion house established in Legnano in 1985 by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, is set to enchant audiences worldwide with a series of festive activations. Known for its expansive reach across haute couture, accessories, fragrances, and cosmetics, the brand is celebrating the holiday season by launching its distinctive Holiday Market project. This initiative brings Dolce & Gabbana's unmistakable style to select global cities, immersing visitors in an enchanted world rich in colour and tradition, all while celebrating Italian craftsmanship and creativity and assisting in the search for the perfect gift.
The activations for this special Holiday Market project will grace prestigious locations including Melbourne's Chadstone Shopping Centre, Singapore's Takashimaya Shopping Centre, São Paulo's JK Iguatemi, Mexico City's El Palacio de Hierro Polanco, Daejeon's Galleria, and Goiânia's Flamboyant Shopping Center. These specially chosen spaces will be transformed with the vibrant and iconic motifs of the Carretto Siciliano. The traditional local cart, a characteristic animal-drawn vehicle used in Sicily from the 19th century until the mid-20th century for transporting goods before motorization, has been masterfully adopted by the Italian designers, becoming one of the most distinctive elements in the brand’s visual universe.
Within these beautifully themed display areas, framed by the intricate friezes and decorations of Sicilian tradition, visitors will discover a curated selection of products. These items stem from exclusive partnerships with leading "Made in Italy" names, each designed to highlight the opulent Dolce & Gabbana lifestyle. Featured collaborations include festive sweets from Fiasconaro, exquisite Sicilian wines from Donnafugata, artisanal pasta from Pastificio Di Martino, the renowned Bialetti Moka coffee maker, and stylish Smeg appliances, offering a true taste of Italian excellence.
Beyond the dedicated Holiday Markets, additional festive touches will complete the global celebrations. Majestic Christmas trees will welcome guests in key locations, specifically at the foot of the MLC Centre steps in Sydney, and once again in Singapore at the Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Furthermore, the Beijing SKP Café will undergo a stunning transformation, adopting a new look entirely inspired by the festive and colourful Carretto Siciliano theme, creating an immersive dining experience.
In New York City, a special installation has been captivating visitors at the Dolce & Gabbana boutique on Fifth Avenue since November. This unique space has been transformed into an explosion of the Carretto Siciliano's vivid colours, adorned with sparkling Christmas trees and meticulously curated decorations. The boutique proudly presents a curated selection of Dolce & Gabbana Casa items and the brand’s most beloved books, alongside its exquisite Beauty collections. Adding to the sensory delight, in-store tastings of Fiasconaro sweets will allow visitors to savour the authentic flavours of Sicily, including citrus, saffron, pistachio, and hazelnut.
