Fashion Month's Hottest Collaborations Blend Heritage, Craftsmanship, and Street Style

Fashion month has once again proven to be a pivotal stage for brands to unveil captivating collaborations, strategically timed to highlight exceptional craftsmanship, rich heritage, and innovative creativity. Many of these exciting partnerships are accompanied by engaging presentations or immersive activations, particularly within the vibrant fashion landscape of the French capital.

Among the notable unveils, French fashion house A.P.C. has joined forces with American designer Marc Jacobs to launch a 26-piece capsule collection. This collaboration celebrates their shared foundational roots in the 1980s, revisiting collegiate style through thoughtful layering and subtle nods to both Paris and New York. The wardrobe includes essential pieces like wool-and-leather varsity jackets, slightly oversized striped shirts, signature jeans, and miniskirts, complemented by a Marc Jacobs tote bag and a collector’s edition of A.P.C.’s iconic Demi-Lune bag. The capsule’s leitmotif, the colour orange, pays homage to the Carte Orange used by Jacobs during his Parisian stays in the 1980s, while A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou’s student card makes an appearance on a T-shirt. Further personal touches include buttons subtly engraved with the designers’ profiles, symbolizing their rapport and the brands' intertwined histories. This collection will be available from October 2 in A.P.C. and Marc Jacobs boutiques, as well as online.

Danish label Samsøe Samsøe also made its mark by presenting its Autumn–Winter 2025 collection at the stylish Parisian multi-brand store Merci, located on Boulevard Beaumarchais. The capsule delves into themes of human connection, emphasizing soft and sustainable materials throughout its designs. The women’s wardrobe features supple suede dresses, miniskirts, and jackets, alongside warm yak-wool knitwear and variations on the popular Sajeanne line. Outerwear options range from elegant long coats, such as the Sajill and Sajilla, to a freshly reworked cow dip-dye jacket. The expansive loft space at Merci provided an immersive showcase, offering press and industry professionals an intimate experience of the collection, which is now available both at Merci and on the label’s official website.

From Scotland, esteemed houses Barrie and Mackintosh have collaborated on a "made in Scotland" unisex capsule collection. This partnership is structured around three distinct silhouettes: Mack 1, a long coat crafted from Mackintosh coated cotton and lined with Barrie’s luxurious wool-and-cashmere pleats; Mack 2, a cropped pea coat featuring a cozy cashmere gilet with generous pockets; and Mack 3, a sleeveless gilet that translates Barrie’s signature proportions into Mackintosh coated cotton. Tubular lines, inspired by Mackintosh’s distinctive sealing tapes, are artfully integrated into the knitwear, seen in pieces like the double-faced cardigan and seamless knitted trousers. This capsule is already available in Barrie boutiques (owned by Chanel since 2012), online, and at selected retailers, with a dedicated Paris pop-up at 23 rue Cambon further celebrating the collaboration.

Venturing into surf culture, Californian brand Stüssy has teamed up with British label Wales Bonner for a capsule collection that traces a vibrant line from the sun-kissed beaches of Labadi and Bull Bay to the urban coasts of Tokyo and Santa Ana. The collection incorporates Stüssy’s iconic World Tour graphics on T-shirts and Oxford shirts, complemented by fringed shorts, studded stonewashed denim, and a sophisticated navy Loro Piana wool blazer. Wales Bonner’s distinctive stylistic codes are evident in a bark-brown leather varsity jacket and a silk polo shirt printed with evocative images by Ghanaian photographer Nana Yaw Oduro. Additional pieces include a neoprene hoodie, an embroidered board short, and a sarong designed in collaboration with Peter Miles. The accompanying campaign, photographed by Zoë Ghertner in Los Angeles, beautifully captures the essence of the collaboration, which is already available in selected boutiques and online.

Marking their third successful collaboration, Japanese brand Sacai and Carhartt WIP have unveiled a 19-piece capsule collection. This innovative partnership sees the hybridization of Carhartt’s iconic Detroit Jackets, Arctic Jackets, and trousers, reimagined as quilted blousons or unisex jackets with a distinct vertical construction. Sacai’s unique stylistic vocabulary, characterized by oversized pockets and asymmetric cuts, is deftly applied to Carhartt’s staple workwear pieces. Each item is finished with a co-branded label, signifying the seamless blend of both brands’ aesthetics. The collection is set to be available from October 3 at selected retailers worldwide and through both brands’ online platforms.
