Fendi Appoints Silvia Venturini Fendi Honorary President in Leadership Shift

Fendi has announced a significant shift in its leadership structure, with Silvia Venturini Fendi set to assume the prestigious role of honorary president of the Roman Maison, effective October 1. This appointment follows an illustrious creative tenure, during which she notably oversaw the women's wear collections, including the brand's centenary year. In her new capacity, Silvia Venturini Fendi will play a pivotal role in championing Fendi’s rich heritage, continuing to promote the brand on a global scale, and celebrating the Maison’s profound history, exceptional craftsmanship, and the distinctive world of Fendi Casa.

As a representative of the third generation of the Fendi family, the original founders of the historic Roman Maison, Silvia Venturini Fendi brings an unparalleled depth of understanding and personal connection to the brand. Her journey within Fendi has been extensive and impactful; from 1992 to 2019, she collaborated closely with the legendary Karl Lagerfeld within the artistic direction. Since 1994, she has been instrumental in overseeing the accessories and menswear lines, and more recently, extended her creative vision to the womenswear line.

Reflecting on her journey, Silvia Venturini Fendi shared, “These have been exhilarating years, which I have lived also in the name of my grandmother Adele, my mother Anna and her sisters.” She also paid tribute to her mentor, stating, “My thoughts go to Karl, an extraordinary master who honored me by allowing me to collaborate with him, teaching me the art of sharing — a defining quality in the female‑led history of my family — and encouraging me to cultivate and safeguard my creative vision before taking flight on my own.” She further emphasized the personal fulfillment of her career, adding, “It has been a wonderful journey for me, also on a personal level: the bond with Karl Lagerfeld, then with Kim Jones, and, last but not least, with my fantastic team, which over the years has become part of my family.”
