Frank Junker Departs Munich Fabric Start After Two Decades
After two decades of dedicated service, Frank Junker, the esteemed creative director of Munich Fabric Start Exhibitions GmbH, is stepping down from his role. He will no longer be involved in the organisation of the Munich fabric trade fairs, choosing instead to focus his energies on new entrepreneurial ventures and projects within the dynamic events industry.
Reflecting on his tenure, Junker, who also held a shareholder position within Munich Fabric Start, expressed his gratitude. “The past years have been intense and formative, and I look back on them with gratitude. Now is the right time for me to step back from Munich Fabric Start and turn my attention to new pursuits, both personally and entrepreneurially,” he stated regarding his departure.
The Munich-based company has confirmed that a seamless handover of responsibilities has already been completed. This transition was facilitated in close collaboration with the company’s seasoned internal team and its long-standing network of external partners. Moving forward, Frank Junker’s former duties will be efficiently organised and shared among the existing team members, ensuring continuity and stability.
Wolfgang Klinder, co-founder and shareholder of Munich Fabric Start, extended his appreciation in the company’s official statement. “We thank Frank Junker for his many years of service and his contribution to the development of the trade fair over the past two decades. We respect his decision and wish him every success with his forthcoming projects,” Klinder affirmed.
Indeed, Frank Junker’s commitment and passion were instrumental in the trade fair’s growth for more than 20 years, a dedication for which the management conveys its special thanks. His significant involvement in strategic development and his pivotal role in cultivating the Bluezone and View formats were particularly impactful, firmly establishing these events not only in the German-speaking region but also across Europe.
Despite this significant change, the pace of the industry remains swift. The next event is rapidly approaching, with the View trade fair scheduled to take place next week, on December 2 and 3.
