Giambattista Valli and Emmy-winning costume designers headline Iguatemi Talks Fashion in Brazil
Brazil’s prominent luxury retail group, Iguatemi, has proudly announced that acclaimed designer Giambattista Valli will be a featured participant at the ninth edition of Iguatemi Talks Fashion. This premier fashion and creative-industry conference in Brazil is set to captivate audiences on October 21 and 22, hosted at the prestigious JK Iguatemi mall in São Paulo, the nation’s largest metropolis.
Renowned for his distinctive haute-romantic aesthetic and groundbreaking designs, Valli has consistently garnered global admiration. His connection to Brazil runs deep, evidenced by his choice of Rio-born actress and style icon Marina Ruy Barbosa to close his 2023 Haute Couture show in Paris, as well as his recent creation of the exquisite bridal gown for local television personality Sabrina Sato.
Valli will be joined on stage by an equally impressive roster of talents, including Emmy-winning costume designer Molly Rogers, celebrated for her iconic work on "Sex & The City," "And Just Like That," and the highly anticipated sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada." Alongside Paolo Nieddu, this dynamic duo masterminded the wardrobe for hit series "Empire" and the critically acclaimed film "The United States vs. Billie Holiday." Together, they will offer insights into the intricate art of costume design and its profound impact on global fashion trends and narrative storytelling.
Since its inception, Iguatemi Talks Fashion has firmly established itself as Latin America’s foremost platform for crucial conversations spanning fashion, entertainment, and wider cultural landscapes. This influential two-day event consistently attracts an impressive lineup of over 70 global speakers and draws more than 7,000 in-person attendees annually, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas.
The conference's mission to transform knowledge into tangible experience is reflected in its high-caliber participants, which in previous editions have included luminaries such as Bella Freud, Olivier Rousteing, Pierpaolo Piccioli, and Maria Grazia Chiuri. By bringing together such influential figures, Iguatemi Talks Fashion effectively underscores Brazil’s burgeoning significance and growing influence within the competitive international fashion arena.
