Gracie Abrams Becomes Chanel’s Muse, Launching a New Era for the Coco Crush Collection
Chanel has announced Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams as its newest ambassador, simultaneously naming her the muse for the iconic Coco Crush collection. The luxury fashion house highlighted Abrams’ “distinctive attitude and natural assurance” as qualities that perfectly align with the spirit of Coco Crush, signaling a fresh and contemporary direction for the beloved line.
The Coco Crush collection itself draws inspiration from Chanel’s signature quilting, a design element first introduced by the house in 1955 and deeply rooted in its heritage. The collection features a range of jewelry – rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings – crafted in beige, yellow, or white gold, and available with or without dazzling diamond embellishments.
Gracie Abrams’ rise to prominence has been swift and impressive. Emerging in 2019 and 2020 with a series of debut singles and EPs, she quickly established herself as a significant new voice in music. Her 2020 EP, *Minor*, and the subsequent *This Is What It Feels Like* (2021) cemented her signature “bedroom pop” style, characterized by its intimate and emotionally resonant lyrics.
Abrams continued her upward trajectory with the release of her debut album, *Good Riddance*, in 2023, earning her a nomination for Best New Artist at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. Building on this success, she followed up with her sophomore album, *The Secret of Us*, and a deluxe edition featuring her highest-charting single to date, “That’s So True.”
Beyond her musical achievements, Abrams’ background adds another layer to her profile. She is the daughter of acclaimed filmmaker J.J. Abrams, whose films have collectively grossed over $4 billion worldwide, establishing him as one of the highest-grossing directors of all time.
With this appointment, Abrams joins an exclusive roster of Chanel ambassadors, a group of influential figures that currently includes Lupita Nyong'o, Riley Keough, Margaret Qualley, Tilda Swinton, Penélope Cruz, and Lily-Rose Depp. Her first campaign with Chanel is set to be unveiled on January 13, 2026.
