Groupe Dynamite reports explosive Q3 growth and boosts full-year guidance
Groupe Dynamite announced strong third-quarter results on Tuesday, reporting significant double-digit sales growth and simultaneously increasing its full-year guidance. Revenue for the quarter saw a substantial rise of 40.3%, climbing to $363.0 million from $258.8 million in the previous year. This growth was fueled primarily by a 31.6% increase in comparable store sales, complemented by contributions from new store locations. The company also reported robust online performance, with digital revenue increasing by 43.3% to reach $63.2 million during the quarter.
The Canadian fashion retailer, known for its Dynamite and Garage brands, demonstrated significant profit expansion. Net earnings reached $41.1 million, representing a 101.7% increase compared to the prior year. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) grew from $0.38 to $0.71. Operational efficiency also improved substantially, with operating income surging 90.3% to $120.1 million, and adjusted EBITDA rising 67.5% to $146.1 million.
Stacie Beaver, president and chief operating officer, attributed the success to the company’s strong foundation and execution. She noted that the quarter's achievements in product, store operations, and digital initiatives were driven by "intention, discipline, and agility." Beaver highlighted the ongoing "journey to elevate and premiumize both brands" and confirmed that customer response to these changes has remained positive. Operationally, she pointed to the real estate strategy as a "core pillar," citing 17 gross openings year-to-date as essential for generating "sustained, high-quality traffic."
Regarding digital performance, Beaver expressed encouragement over the 40 basis points increase in e-commerce penetration during Q3 2025. She detailed ongoing platform enhancements designed to facilitate "richer storytelling and more seamless experiences." Looking ahead, Beaver expressed confidence in the company's Q4 prospects, stating that with a solid foundation and real momentum, they are well-positioned to raise performance, strengthen brand experiences, and deepen community connections.
Based on these strong results, Groupe Dynamite has increased its fiscal 2025 outlook. The company now anticipates comparable store sales growth ranging from 25.5% to 27.5%, significantly higher than its previous guidance of 17% to 19%. The company noted that this outlook remains subject to various external risks, including potential impacts from tariffs, real estate delays, weather disruptions, changes in consumer demand, and IT or supply chain issues.
