Gymshark Partners With Dick's Sporting Goods to Expand US Reach
Britain’s performance-wear specialist, Gymshark, has significantly intensified its focus on the US market, marking a pivotal moment with the announcement of its first-ever US wholesale partnership. Dick’s Sporting Goods will now serve as Gymshark's premier wholesale partner, a strategic move that underscores the brand's commitment to expanding its presence and accessibility across the nation.
The collaboration is set to officially launch on October 24, with Gymshark’s popular collections becoming available at 12 select Dick’s House of Sport locations. This wholesale debut closely follows another major milestone for Gymshark in the US: the recent opening of its first permanent US store, a 4,000 sq ft flagship at Roosevelt Field in Long Island, New York, which commenced operations last weekend.
Dick’s Sporting Goods views this partnership as a crucial step in enhancing its retail portfolio and delivering on its promise to customers. The company stated that the deal "represents a natural next step in growing the brand’s reach and retail presence nationwide, and underscores Dick’s commitment to bringing culture-shaping brands that connect sport, fashion, and lifestyle under one roof." Brendan Kirk, VP of Merchandising at Dick’s, further emphasized the company's interest in "fresh and surprising brands" to "differentiate our product offering," noting that Gymshark is "redefining what modern training apparel looks like with high-performance, stylish pieces rooted in real gym culture."
From Gymshark's perspective, finding the right North American wholesale partner was paramount. Mitch Healey, director of retail and wholesale, North America at Gymshark, explained their criteria: "When we started to look for our first wholesale partner in North America, there were two things we knew we had to have in common — that they were an iconic brand and that they would be able to bring the authentic Gymshark experience to their community." Healey highlighted that Dick's Sporting Goods "just leapt off the page," appreciating the incredible store spaces and the immediate authentic Gymshark feel customers would experience.
Upon launch, customers will be able to explore some of Gymshark's most-hyped items, including pieces from the popular Power and Vital collections. The merchandise will be retailed at prices ranging from $16 to $70. Each Dick’s House of Sport location will feature a fully branded Gymshark collaboration space, designed to offer athletes an exclusive and immersive shopping experience. This dedicated area will incorporate custom fixtures, athlete mannequins, and distinctive design details that vividly bring the brand’s "We Do Gym" ethos to life, allowing customers to see, touch, and test Gymshark’s premium designs, technical fabrics, and community-driven energy firsthand.
The initial 12 Dick's House of Sport locations participating in this launch include Jersey City, NJ; Ross Park, PA; Polaris, OH; Miami, FL; Tampa, FL; Kennesaw, GA (available from October 29); Glendale, AZ; Dallas, TX; Minnetonka, MN; Knoxville, TN; Baybrook, TX; and Boston, MA, ensuring a broad geographic reach for this exciting new collaboration.
