John Lewis Launches Premium Menswear Line J. Lewis with European Fabrics and Designer Quality

John Lewis is significantly bolstering its fashion offering with the introduction of a new premium menswear line, J. Lewis. This latest venture signifies the retailer's continued commitment to expanding its diverse range of apparel. The J. Lewis collection is positioned as a "premium" capsule, meticulously featuring a "curated selection of high-quality pieces." Each item within this collection is crafted from European fabrics and has been expertly designed in-house by the dedicated John Lewis team, underscoring the brand's focus on internal creative talent and quality sourcing.

This contemporary range consists of 23 distinct pieces, serving as a sophisticated expansion of the existing John Lewis Menswear label and further enriching the retailer's popular own-brand collections. Customers will be able to explore and purchase the capsule collection both online and in 11 select John Lewis department stores starting from September 22nd. The line places a strong emphasis on "natural fabrics," aiming to provide the "ultimate capsule wardrobe" with pieces exclusively made from luxurious materials such as cashmere, silk, and worsted wools.

A key focus for the J. Lewis collection is to deliver exceptional craftsmanship through high-quality material sourcing. Notable highlights include the use of exquisite Italian yarn from Millefili, premium Italian wools, and authentic Kuroki Japanese denim. John Lewis has stated that its overarching goal with this collection is to offer "exceptional craftsmanship at a considered price point," making premium quality more accessible to its discerning clientele.

The collection showcases a range of meticulously designed garments, each with its unique material pedigree. These include The Flannel Suit, made from Barberis Italian wool, and The Check Blazer, crafted from Guabello Italian wool. Denim enthusiasts will appreciate The Japanese Jeans, featuring authentic Turkish Kuroki denim. Knitwear is represented by The Knitted Polo, fashioned from Biella Italian yarn, and The Fisherman Rib Rollneck, using Millefili Italian merino yarn. Everyday essentials also receive a premium upgrade, such as The Cashmere Cotton Tee, The Needle Cord Shirt, and Heavyweight T-Shirts, all made from high-quality Portuguese cotton, alongside The Stripe Shirt in fine Portuguese poplin.

The J. Lewis collection is set to launch for AW25, embracing a soft, seasonal colour palette. This includes warm rustic browns, sophisticated olive green, elegant dove grey, classic navy, and crisp white, offering versatile options for the colder months.
