KaDeWe Appoints Retail Veteran Sandra Swiderski as New General Manager
KaDeWe, Berlin's renowned luxury department store, has welcomed Sandra Swiderski as its new General Manager. The 42-year-old retail veteran steps into the esteemed position, succeeding Oliver Kramny, who departed from the helm of KaDeWe due to health-related reasons.
In her new capacity, Sandra Swiderski will report directly to Norman-Henner Plattner, the Director of Stores. She brings a wealth of experience to KaDeWe, boasting approximately 18 years in international fashion retail. According to the department store, her extensive background encompasses considerable leadership expertise and a profound understanding of market dynamics, making her a valuable asset to the iconic establishment.
Swiderski's career trajectory showcases significant roles in major retail groups. From 2014 to 2019, she held the position of General Manager, Sales at Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf. In this role, she oversaw sales operations across numerous stores, including the prestigious flagship locations on Tauentzienstraße in Berlin and Kärntner Straße in Vienna. Following this, she transitioned to Country Manager Retail, where she was instrumental in leading the development and execution of international business strategies for the company.
Most recently, Sandra Swiderski served as the Retail Area Manager DACH at PVH Brands Austria. During her tenure there, her responsibilities primarily focused on process and performance optimisation, ensuring operational efficiency and strategic growth within the designated region.
