La Revêche Brand Set to Expand with Wholesale Growth and Boutique Plans

La Revêche, the luxury beachwear brand established in 2016 by Sara Melis, is actively pursuing a strategy of wholesale growth and exploring the possibility of opening its first permanent standalone boutiques. This follows a successful seasonal store launch in Porto Cervo, Italy, in 2021. The brand is simultaneously broadening its product range, as detailed in a recent interview with FashionNetwork.com.

Founder and Creative Director Sara Melis identified a niche in the market for sophisticated one-piece swimsuits that moved beyond minimalist designs. “I decided to found La Revêche because I sensed a gap in the market for a one-piece swimsuit that wasn’t overly minimalist,” she explained. Melis focused intently on achieving a perfect fit and incorporated signature chiffon flowers, elevating the swimsuits to be suitable for evening occasions. From its inception, La Revêche also included a dedicated girls’ line, which the brand intends to emphasize further in upcoming collections. Apparel was initially introduced two years ago with a single Lycra style that proved instantly popular, now representing 20% of total sales.

Looking ahead, La Revêche plans to expand its apparel offerings beyond Lycra fabrics, with potential diversification into categories such as underwear, lingerie, bags, shoes, and eyewear. Currently, 60% of the brand’s garments are produced in Sardinia, Melis’s home island, with the remaining 40% manufactured in the Milan area. The company is also planning to expand its production capabilities around Rome.

La Revêche currently operates through a robust wholesale network, serving markets including Italy, France, the UK, the United Arab Emirates, the US, and Poland. In addition, the brand’s direct-to-consumer e-commerce channel reaches approximately 70 countries and generates 75% of total revenue. Key online markets include Italy (37%), the US (15%), and Poland (13%).

The brand has ambitious plans for direct retail expansion, targeting openings in the US, the UAE, and Poland, with Saint-Tropez also on its wish list. Melis anticipates the first permanent mono-brand store could open before the end of the year. La Revêche has demonstrated strong financial performance, achieving a significant 40% revenue growth between 2023 and 2025.

The Spring/Summer 2026 collection from La Revêche is characterized by flowing lines, carefully considered cuts, and impeccable proportions, creating light and sensual silhouettes. The color palette is luminous and delicate, featuring sophisticated contrasts and nuances, with ivory accented by vivid red as the defining hue of the season.
