La Samaritaine Partners with South Korean Label Time for Avant-Garde Pop-Up
Parisian luxury department store La Samaritaine is currently enhancing its fashion offerings by hosting a unique pop-up experience, featuring the esteemed South Korean label, Time. This collaboration marks an exciting step in La Samaritaine's strategy to introduce fresh, avant-garde propositions to its clientele. Time, a brand established in 1993, has meticulously crafted a 62-square-meter temporary store on level -1, which will be open to visitors from August 30 through October 30. This two-month residency serves as a significant trial run for the brand in the competitive French market, building upon its initial appearance during Paris Fashion Week 2023, where it showcased its designs at the prestigious Palais de Tokyo.
The temporary Parisian store is an integral part of Time's ambitious global expansion strategy, aimed at extending its influence beyond its native South Korea. The pop-up itself is an artful blend of design, featuring sleek metallic surfaces, a plush olive-green carpet, and elegantly curvaceous furniture, creating an inviting atmosphere for shoppers. Here, customers can explore the brand's Fall-Winter 2025/26 collection, which highlights sophisticated rounded jackets, subtly muted knits, and a distinct array of shawls—an accessory noted by the company as being "particularly popular in Korea."
Looking ahead, Time, under the artistic direction of Jung in Choi, is set to return to the French capital in approximately a month to unveil its Spring/Summer 2026 collection during another Paris Fashion Week event. Beyond these temporary showcases, the brand has a clear long-term objective: to establish its inaugural permanent boutique in Paris. Time operates as a key label within the powerful Korean Handsome group, launched in 1987. Handsome group boasts an extensive portfolio of around forty ready-to-wear, cosmetics, and lifestyle brands, both in-house and under license, supported by a vast network of 1,300 retail outlets. The Handsome group itself is a subsidiary of the prominent Hyundai Department Store Group.
