German streetwear label Live Fast Die Young (LFDY) has marked a significant milestone in its ongoing international expansion with its planned market entry into France. The Düsseldorf-based brand officially launched its first French store on November 15, establishing its presence in the fashionable Le Marais district of Paris, located at 33 Rue du Temple.

This new Parisian outpost represents a crucial step for LFDY, underscoring its ambitious strategy to cultivate flagship stores in key global cities. Paris now joins a distinguished roster of international locations, complementing the brand's existing presence in Germany, Amsterdam, and London, further solidifying its growing global footprint.

Lorenz Amend, CEO and founder of LFDY, expressed his enthusiasm for the new opening, stating, "Every city and every store is unique - we start from scratch with every new opening. Paris has long been on our bucket list, and the process leading up to the opening was complex. All the more rewarding to see how everything has come together." This sentiment highlights the bespoke approach LFDY takes with each new venture.

Spanning approximately 100 square metres, the store in the vibrant heart of the Marais district masterfully blends the building's inherent historic character with a contemporary interior design. Elements such as exposed walls revealing faded paintwork, original cast-iron columns, and the authentic tiled floor provide a rich, textured backdrop that harmonizes with the brand's distinctive style.

Contrasting with Parisian historical flair, the interior is punctuated by sleek, polished stainless-steel furniture featuring a clean and modern design language. This aesthetic, developed in close collaboration with the renowned Dorenz + Jokisch architectural team, serves to accentuate LFDY's signature brand identity and forward-thinking vision.

CFO Alexander Pablo Steingass reiterated the brand's impressive trajectory, commenting, "We have seen LFDY's strong international growth in recent years and we are now looking forward to bringing this spirit physically to another European market." This statement underscores the strategic importance of the French expansion in consolidating LFDY's European presence.

The store's design extends to thoughtfully curated lounge areas, created to enhance the customer experience. Seating in both the cash desk and changing-room areas is deliberately complemented by a dedicated DJ booth, which is set to host regular live sets, fostering a dynamic and engaging atmosphere within the retail space.

Further enriching the overall ambiance are carefully selected furniture classics. These include Robert Mallet-Stevens' iconic Chair No. 222 and a vintage cognac leather armchair situated in the lounge area in front of the changing rooms. These pieces are framed by heavy grey velvet curtains with a rich texture, adding a layer of sophistication and comfort to the stylish environment.

The brand celebrated its Parisian debut with an impressive opening party at the prestigious Palais de Tokyo, held the day after the official store launch. LFDY reported an attendance of approximately 1,200 guests, who enjoyed performances by French rap artists La Mano 1.9 and JRK19, supported by an array of local DJs, making the launch a memorable cultural event.
