Loewe and On Running debut Cloudsolo trainers in vibrant new A/W 25 collection
The esteemed Spanish luxury house Loewe has once again joined forces with the innovative Swiss sportswear brand On Running, announcing a renewed collaboration that culminates in an Autumn/Winter 2025 capsule collection. This highly anticipated partnership, notably backed by former tennis champion Roger Federer, introduces the Cloudsolo trainers—an entirely new, limited-edition model that anchors the collection. Enthusiasts can mark their calendars for online pre-registration starting October 15, with the worldwide launch following on October 16, making the collection accessible both in stores and online without prior registration.
At the heart of this collection are the Cloudsolo trainers, a groundbreaking model marking the first co-designed footwear from both brands. These trainers seamlessly integrate On Running’s renowned Swiss engineering with Loewe’s distinctive artisanal design codes. Engineered for superior performance and comfort, the Cloudsolo features a single CloudTec unit at the heel, a responsive Helion Superfoam midsole, and a flexible Speedboard to enhance cushioning. The upper combines On Running’s advanced technical mesh with Loewe’s signature closure mechanism, presented in an array of vibrant shades such as turquoise, orange, and lime green, alongside versatile neutral tones.
Beyond the innovative footwear, the capsule collection extends to a comprehensive range of ready-to-wear pieces. These garments exemplify a fusion of high-performance technology with Loewe’s characteristic understated luxury. The collection includes practical yet stylish items such as anoraks, cargo trousers, functional outerwear, sports bras, T-shirts, leggings, and shorts, all meticulously designed to offer both functionality and sophistication for everyday wear.
The launch of this collection is accompanied by a captivating campaign, masterfully shot by photographer Ryan McGinley. The campaign stars the dynamic MazelFreten dance company, under the artistic direction of Bleunuit and with movement direction by Ash Rucker. Filmed against the striking architectural backdrop of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of La Laguna in Tenerife, the campaign powerfully highlights physical expression as a compelling bridge between the realms of art and street culture.
On Running, established in Switzerland in 2010, has rapidly expanded its global footprint, now operating in over 80 countries. The brand has solidified its reputation as a leader in performance innovation within the sportswear industry. For the current financial year, On Running projects an impressive turnover of 2.86 billion Swiss francs, signaling a robust 28% growth at constant exchange rates, underscoring its significant market presence and continued success.
Loewe, with its rich heritage dating back to its founding in Madrid in 1846, has recently undergone a significant creative transition. Since March 2025, the luxury house has been under the artistic guidance of the acclaimed designer duo Jack McCollough and Lázaro Hernández, who assumed the roles of creative directors following the departure of Jonathan Anderson, who has since transitioned to become the creative director at Dior.
