Loewe’s Casa Concept Expands to Tokyo’s Ginza, Reinforcing Global Luxury Growth

Spanish luxury brand Loewe is expanding its global footprint with the continued rollout of its Casa Loewe concept, most recently manifested in a new store opening in Tokyo’s prestigious Ginza district. This strategic move reinforces Loewe’s commitment to the Asian market and establishes the location as the brand’s second-largest store worldwide.

The Ginza boutique uniquely blends Loewe’s Spanish roots with the refined sensibilities of Japanese design. The store’s aesthetic is characterized by a calming palette of greens and natural materials, culminating in a façade adorned with meticulously handcrafted ceramic tiles. These tiles are specifically designed to echo the historical textures and atmosphere of Ginza’s Edo period origins, creating a harmonious connection between heritage and modernity.

Inside, the Casa Loewe space offers a comprehensive showcase of Loewe’s complete menswear and womenswear collections. Beyond fashion, the store also features a curated selection of pieces from Loewe’s dedicated art collection, underscoring the brand’s core values of artistry, skilled craftsmanship, and innovative design – hallmarks of the Casa Loewe concept.

The Casa Loewe concept first debuted in 2016 with the renovation of the brand’s Madrid flagship store. Since then, Loewe has strategically implemented this design philosophy in key international cities, including Seoul, Chicago, and Shanghai, demonstrating a consistent brand identity across diverse cultural landscapes. The warm and inviting, light-filled aesthetic has become synonymous with the Loewe experience.

Loewe’s rich history began in Madrid in 1846. More recently, the brand underwent a creative leadership transition in March 2024, with Jack McCollough and Lázaro Hernández taking the helm following the departure of Jonathan Anderson, who subsequently assumed the role of creative director at Dior.

Financially, Loewe SA, the primary operating company under the LVMH umbrella, reported a strong performance in the 2024 fiscal year. The company achieved a turnover of €885.2 million, representing a notable 9.2% increase compared to the previous year, signaling continued growth and success for the luxury house.
