Logicbroker Acquires Virtualstock Creating Global Multi-Party Commerce Powerhouse

Logicbroker, a prominent US-based provider of multi-vendor commerce solutions, has announced the acquisition of Virtualstock, a UK-based online retail technology firm. While the financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, this strategic move is set to create a new global powerhouse in multi-party commerce orchestration, offering enhanced capabilities to the world's largest retailers and brands.

The combined entity is poised to become a formidable force, forming one of the largest international dropship supplier networks. This expanded network will encompass more than 15,000 retail and brand partners across the globe, collectively managing an impressive Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) exceeding $13 billion (£9.7 billion). This scale positions the newly integrated business to significantly influence and support the complex multi-party commerce needs of enterprise clients worldwide.

Logicbroker has confirmed its commitment to continued investment in Virtualstock, aiming to maximize its growth potential and foster the delivery of "next generation agents commerce technology." This investment is specifically targeted at benefiting UK brands and retailers, ensuring they have access to cutting-edge solutions to navigate the evolving digital commerce landscape.

Virtualstock, established in 2004, has built a strong reputation in the UK market for its robust online retail technology. The company currently processes over 8 million orders annually, generating a substantial GMV of more than £2 billion. Its platform is instrumental in powering the online commerce operations for several major brands, including iconic UK retailers such as John Lewis and Argos, highlighting its significant market penetration and reliability.

Omar Qari, CEO of Logicbroker, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, “Virtualstock doesn't just bring deep technical expertise and an impressive customer portfolio; it also greatly enhances our ability to serve the largest enterprise retailers and brands in the world.” This sentiment underscores the strategic value Virtualstock adds, particularly in expanding Logicbroker’s reach and technical capabilities for high-volume enterprise clients.

Ed Bradley, founder and CEO of Virtualstock, also commented on the acquisition, acknowledging Logicbroker’s leadership in the multi-party commerce technology space. He noted, “its pioneering role in helping retailers adapt to changing consumer and business shopping behaviors will be vital for us as we enter a new phase in Virtualstock's journey.” Bradley further emphasized the continuity of support for their existing customer base, adding, “We [will] continue to support retailers and suppliers across our customer base, and I look forward to us being able to further expand our reach as part of the Logicbroker organisation.”
