Longtime Puma communications director steps down after 18 years
Puma is facing a key transition within its global communications team as Kerstin Neuber departs the Herzogenaurach-based sports company after 18 years of service. Neuber most recently held the position of Senior Director Corporate Communications. Following her departure, Robert-Jan Bartunek, who currently serves as Team Head Corporate Communications, will assume her responsibilities on an interim basis until a permanent successor is appointed.
Neuber is leaving the company voluntarily to pursue new professional challenges. Puma acknowledged her significant contribution during her long tenure, thanking her for "her great commitment and significant contribution in recent years." The company noted that Neuber played a key role in developing and shaping its corporate communications strategy.
Throughout her time at Puma, Neuber oversaw a wide range of critical responsibilities. These included the strategic development and implementation of communications initiatives, serving as the official corporate spokesperson, and leading crisis and reputation management efforts. She was also instrumental in coordinating the company’s international corporate PR activities and providing strategic guidance to the Executive Board, management, and various subsidiaries.
CEO Arne Freundt expressed his gratitude for Neuber's service. "We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Kerstin for her dedication, expertise and leadership," Freundt said. He added that Neuber's "strategic approach and deep understanding of communications" helped to "strengthen the company’s reputation and public presence." Freundt concluded by wishing her great success in her future professional endeavors.
