Lovisa opens new London store as global expansion continues
Australian affordable jewellery brand Lovisa has marked a significant step in its ongoing global expansion with the opening of its latest store at Angel Central, Islington’s prominent retail destination. Following a busy year dedicated to strategic store expansions, this new establishment further solidifies the brand’s growing international presence.
The new Lovisa store occupies a 711 sq ft unit situated on the ground floor of Angel Central, located conveniently next to Rituals. This opening is heralded as the brand’s "next step in its global expansion plans," integrating seamlessly into Angel Central’s diverse array of fashion retailers, which includes popular names such as Accessorize, Mango, and Oliver Bonas. The store proudly showcases Lovisa's extensive collection of fashion and affordable jewellery pieces, while also featuring its now-standard, highly popular piercing station.
Simon Prince, Asset Manager at CBRE Investment Management, the entity that operates Angel Central, expressed his enthusiasm for the new addition. He commented, “Welcoming brands like Lovisa strengthens our position as a vibrant retail and leisure destination. Lovisa brings affordable, on-trend accessories to enhance the centre’s diverse mix, draw in new visitors and offer something unique for our loyal community.” Prince also highlighted Angel Central's current strong performance, noting that Lovisa joins the centre at an exciting time, with sales up 7.1% year-to-date vs 2024, and footfall having increased by 5.6%.
As Lovisa continues its ambitious international expansion, the brand emphasizes the strategic importance of recently added destinations such as this Angel Central store. Alongside other new locations like The Liberty Romford and Queensgate Peterborough, these openings are considered crucial in driving both brand loyalty and customer engagement within key markets.
