Luxury Event Sales Specialist Arlettie Appoints Former BHV Marais CEO Amandine de Souza as COO to Drive Global Expansion
Arlettie, a prominent French specialist in luxury event sales, has significantly strengthened its senior executive team with the appointment of Amandine de Souza as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In her new role, de Souza will work in close collaboration with the company's co-founders and co-CEOs, Muryel Lanneau and Thibaut Caillemer du Ferrage, to drive the brand's strategic vision and operational excellence.
Amandine de Souza brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished career trajectory to Arlettie. Her professional journey began as a consultant with Bain & Co. in Paris. She later served as the CEO of Westwing France before taking on the leadership of the iconic Parisian department store BHV Marais in 2018, a position she held until 2023. During her tenure at BHV Marais, she also became a member of the executive committee of its parent company, Galeries Lafayette. Following this, she was appointed Managing Director of the French retailer Leboncoin, where she contributed for nearly two years, further solidifying her expertise in e-commerce and retail management.
At Arlettie, de Souza's primary mission will be to oversee and enhance business operations, playing a crucial role in bolstering the luxury event sales specialist’s ambitious expansion plans. Her arrival is particularly timely, as Arlettie is experiencing a period of robust growth, with its revenue reportedly quadrupling over the past four years. The company has successfully positioned itself as a preferred partner for numerous fashion and luxury labels, and is now poised to embark on a significant new phase of international expansion.
Arlettie's growth strategy includes an aggressive international footprint. The company currently operates showrooms in Paris and London, with concrete plans to establish a new showroom in New York by early 2026. Beyond physical locations, Arlettie is also committed to a broader online deployment and aims to extend its presence into key markets in Asia and the Middle East. The creation of the COO role is a direct response to this dynamic growth, designed to provide essential support and ensure operational consistency across all of Arlettie's diverse activities, from private sales and showroom management to logistics.
Established in 2004 under the name Adèle Sand, the company began as an event sales showroom situated in the vibrant Marais district of Paris. It was later rebranded as Arlettie in 2011, at which point it sharpened its focus on high-end private sales. Since then, Arlettie has experienced progressive expansion, partly through strategic acquisitions, notably acquiring the Catherine Max showroom in Paris's Trocadéro area in 2013, further solidifying its presence and capabilities within the luxury sales market.
