Luxury conglomerate LVMH has finalized the complete acquisition of French publishing house Les Editions Croque Futur, a move that brings prominent publications like *Challenges*, *Sciences & Avenir*, and *La Recherche* under its umbrella through the UFIPAR investment company.

The announcement, made on Tuesday, December 30th, underscores LVMH’s dedication to bolstering high-quality journalism and scientific literacy, and crucially, expanding its reach to a broader readership. According to a press release, the acquisition is intended to support and amplify these vital areas of public discourse.

This acquisition sees UFIPAR, LVMH’s holding company, taking 100% ownership of Les Editions Croque Futur. It represents a deepening of an existing relationship, building upon UFIPAR’s prior investment in the publishing house alongside its founder, the influential Claude Perdriel.

Looking ahead, Les Editions Croque Futur will prioritize the growth and wider distribution of its three publications, with a significant emphasis on developing and leveraging digital platforms. This strategic shift aims to ensure the long-term viability and success of the business within the rapidly changing media landscape.

As part of the transaction, Maurice Szafran, a long-standing advisor to Claude Perdriel, has been appointed President of Les Editions Croque Futur. He will also assume the role of publishing director for *Challenges*, *Sciences & Avenir*, and *La Recherche*, utilizing his extensive experience in the media sector to drive sustained growth and innovation.
