Mac Cosmetics Names Chappell Roan as Global Ambassador Emphasizing Queer Joy and Self-Expression
Mac Cosmetics has appointed Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Chappell Roan as its newest global brand ambassador. The long-term partnership will see Roan featured in international campaigns beginning in 2026, where she will bring her distinctive style and creative vision to the brand's bold marketing efforts.
Commenting on the collaboration, Roan expressed a sense of personal significance, stating that partnering with Mac feels "full circle." She highlighted the brand's long-standing support for diverse communities: "This brand has always made space for people like me; since day one they've embraced art, queerness, drag and self-expression," said Roan, who is known for her theatrical onstage personas and strong advocacy for LGBTQIA+ communities.
For her debut campaign, photographed by Inez & Vinoodh, Roan presents a theatrical look that incorporates her signature aesthetics, including a cloud-white complexion, erased eyebrows, and a specific "Cool Teddy" lip combination. Makeup artist Andrew Dahling described the look as a modern interpretation of androgyny, blending elements of film noir and 1930s military references with Roan’s characteristic high-glam style.
