Maison & Objet: Bridging Design’s Past and Future at Paris Nord Villepinte

Maison & Objet: Bridging Design’s Past and Future at Paris Nord Villepinte

From January 15th to 19th, the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre will once again be the epicenter of design innovation as Maison & Objet returns for its latest edition. This year’s theme, “Past Reveals Future,” underscores the event’s commitment to bridging contemporary design with its historical foundations, aiming to inspire a more informed and creative future for the industry.

As a premier gathering for professionals in the décor, design, and lifestyle sectors, Maison & Objet will delve into the “Past Reveals Future” concept through insightful analysis provided by the Goodmoods style consultancy. This exploration will be articulated through four distinct manifestos: Metamorphosis, Mutation, Baroque, and Neo-Folklore, offering a multifaceted perspective on emerging trends and influences.

The fair will comprehensively showcase the entire design ecosystem, organized across six key sectors and spanning seven exhibition halls. These sectors include Signature and Projects, dedicated to high-end design, hospitality solutions, and bespoke projects; Décor and Design, encompassing furniture, lighting, textiles, and tableware; Craft, celebrating exceptional artisanal skills and techniques; Fragrance and Wellness, exploring the realms of wellbeing and scent; Fashion and Accessories, presenting the latest in fashion, jewelry, and accessories; and Gift and Play, featuring gifts, toys, and innovative lifestyle concepts.

Demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability, Maison & Objet will feature the Collectif Design écoresponsable in Halls 1 and 2, integrated within the Signature and Projects areas. This dedicated space will showcase an international array of manufacturers specializing in eco-designed materials and finishes for interior architecture, décor, and furniture, highlighting the fair’s dedication to responsible solutions without sacrificing aesthetic appeal or innovation.

Extending beyond the exhibition halls, Maison & Objet In the City provides a unique and exclusive itinerary for professionals, connecting the fair directly to 100 of Paris’s most prestigious décor destinations. This initiative allows international visitors to experience the best of Parisian design through visits to decorators, interior designers, galleries, major design houses, and artisan workshops.

The January edition is expected to host 2,300 brands, including 500 newcomers, across its six sectors. The 2024 event welcomed a significant audience of 38,763 French visitors (56% of the total) and 30,323 international visitors (44%). With nearly 1,200 journalists anticipated to attend, Maison & Objet serves as a powerful platform for brand visibility and the generation of business opportunities within major international projects. Maison & Objet In the City complements this, building on the success of Paris Design Week, now a leading European design festival with 550 participants and over 250,000 attendees.
