McArthurGlen Troyes Celebrates 30 Years with Ambitious Expansion and Greening
The McArthurGlen outlet village in Troyes, France, recently celebrated a significant milestone, marking its 30th anniversary on October 6th. This celebration coincided with a period of dynamic transformation for the destination, which is actively pursuing ambitious plans for expansion, extensive greening initiatives, and the introduction of new brands and event spaces, reinforcing its commitment to an enhanced visitor experience.
Since its inception in 1995, launching with approximately 40 stores spread across 15,000 square meters, the outlet has demonstrated remarkable growth. Today, it spans an impressive 26,000 square meters, and its expansion trajectory continues. By 2026, an additional 1,500 square meters will be integrated, increasing its capacity to 120 stores and restaurants, further solidifying its position as a leading retail destination.
A core focus of McArthurGlen Troyes' ongoing development is sustainability. By the end of October, nearly 150 trees will be planted across the site, alongside the creation of a new leisure area. The commitment to a greener environment extends to the car parks, which are slated to be grassed over, promoting ecological practices. Furthermore, the outlet is planning an innovative events building featuring hemp walls, developed in collaboration with local partner La Chanvrière de l’Aube. The alterations service, first introduced in 2018 and unique for accepting items purchased elsewhere, is also set to gain its own dedicated, enhanced space.
The tenant mix at McArthurGlen Troyes is continually evolving to meet diverse consumer demands. Recently, the outlet welcomed popular brands such as Name It, Crocs, and Skechers. Shoppers can also look forward to new arrivals by year’s end, including Cabaïa, Palais des Thés, and Maison Berger. Over the past three decades, the retail offering has significantly broadened beyond its initial concentration on clothing, children's wear, footwear, and sportswear, now encompassing perfumes, cosmetics, jewelry, home furnishings, DIY, toys, as well as a selection of chocolatiers and confectioners.
The outlet boasts an impressive portfolio of both heritage and international brands. Alongside long-standing names deeply rooted in the Troyes textile region like Le Coq Sportif, Petit Bateau, and Lacoste, visitors can explore a wide array of fashion labels including Mango, Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot, Boss, Desigual, Fusalp, Gant, Guess, Izac, Karl Lagerfeld, Levi’s, Le Tanneur, Michael Kors, Maison 123, Superdry, Tommy Hilfiger, and Zadig & Voltaire. The sports and outdoor segment is well-represented by brands such as Asics, Converse, Columbia, New Balance, Puma, Aigle, Schott, and Timberland. For beauty, Rituals and L’Oréal are featured, while jewelry and watches are offered by Fossil, Pandora, Swarovski, and Swatch.
Fabio Schiavetti, the center manager, eloquently describes the vision for the site: “It’s not just an outlet center, it’s a place for living, sharing and emotions. A destination where you leave with a bag full of great bargains and your head full of memories. Our center is reinventing itself — more beautiful, greener and more welcoming than ever.” This commitment to a holistic experience is reflected in the center's growing impact. Currently employing 750 people directly, McArthurGlen Troyes anticipates welcoming over four million visitors in 2025, a remarkable increase from the one million visitors recorded in 1996, underscoring its success as a vibrant and expanding destination.
