Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid Gets a Runway Boost with Five-Day Expansion
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWMadrid) is set to expand its upcoming edition to a five-day event, taking place from March 18th to 22nd, 2026. This extension is a direct response to an unprecedented volume of applications from designers eager to participate in the prestigious showcase.
The decision to add an extra day of runway shows will allow organizers, Ifema, with the support of Madrid City Council, to incorporate a greater number of proposals into the official schedule. A total of 30 designers are confirmed to present their autumn-winter collections during the extended event.
Ifema has stated that this expanded schedule signifies and reinforces the significant growth trajectory MBFWMadrid is currently experiencing. The move is also intended to further solidify the event’s standing as the leading platform for Spanish fashion design.
The expansion was approved by the MBFWMadrid Fashion Committee, a crucial element in the platform’s ongoing “transformation and strategic repositioning.” This committee comprises industry experts from fashion, luxury, communications, and business, working in collaboration with the event’s management team.
